Valentine’s Day Cheer

I like to decorate for every holiday.

Okay, maybe not President’s Day…but you know what I mean.

Some years (like this one) the decor is simpler than others…but you really can’t go wrong with a few accents on your mantle to get into the holiday spririt.

Is there anything more festive (and cheaper!) than scrapbook paper hearts strung on grosgrain ribbon?

I think not.

Cardstock “balls” (basically just circles folded in half and taped together) inside an urn.

Red hobnail votive holders from a yard sale years ago.

Maroon candles on glass candlesticks (from PotteryBarn a long time ago)

This fun poster downloaded for free and then sent to Costco to be printed for $5.99.  Ugly gold frame spray painted black.  Thank you Krylon.

And because we spend so much time in our kitchen, a little happy pink was in order.  Bunting re-used from the girls’ birthday party.

My work in progress gallery wall.  I’ll do a post on that another day.  But isn’t it cute so far?

A pink and red table runner from TJMaxx a million years ago.  Or at least 4 years ago.  Before I had kids.  Which feels like a million years somedays.  :)

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

well look who got their crafty pants on?! your house looks great. decor is so sweet and pretty. I have nothing out yet. I always dream about holiday decor but have poor follow thru…usually at the last minute and then we don’t get to really enjoy it.

    Happy friday, friend. ♥

Cute! Love the table runner and I never thought of sending those cute free printables to Costco to be printed. Great idea! Our color printer is so sucky, so this is a great alternative.
