Remember that time when I was the size of a house and scheduled for a c-section and I made you guys program little alarms into your phones at 4:30 in the afternoon? (And by “made” I mean you totally did it of your own volition). And remember how when that alarm on your phone beeped, you snapped a picture of what you were doing right at that moment? And then you hashtagged it #whilejgetscut?
Because while the rest of you were going about your business, I was getting sliced open like a watermelon. WEIRD.
Andy calls it our Drive Thru Birth. We drive up…”We’d like to have our baby please”…and boom…they hand him to us a couple of hours later.
SUPER WEIRD. Especially when compared to my ultra dramatic, marathon 26 and 28 hour labors with the others.
And you know what? About 50 of you played along with my game. And as I was rolling down the hallway in an easy, breezy hospital gown, y’all were laying out by the pool, eating cookies, and I seem to remember a lot of ice cream.
Well, I have news for you guys.
That day?
IT WAS ONE YEAR AGO.
Already.
Like, whaaaaaa??!!!
I blinked. Actually, it was like half a blink.
How is that short squaty chunky munk baby a ONE YEAR OLD?!
Someone is messing with me. There is just. no. way.
A deluge of baby pics are up next. Grandmas…enjoy.
You bring indescribable joy to this house.
It’s super annoying you’re one…but I’ll get over it.

Also, the idea of #whilejgetscut is priceless…not the actual cutting, as I’m sure that wasn’t fun.
