Baby shoes are for the birds.

When Henry was a baby, he wore socks and shoes daily.

Always.

I don’t really know why…I mean, it’s not like he needed them.  Heck, it’s not even really cold enough around here to warrant that a baby wear shoes.

I guess I just thought that’s what you did.  Put shoes on babies.

DUMB.  DUMB.  DUMB.

Maybe it’s because he’s my fourth kid and I’m just too lazy to wrangle these fat piggies into little canvas tennies…

But really, I think it’s because he’s my caboose.

And these little baby toes just cannot be covered up.

They have to readily available for squishing and tickling and giggling at.

Between the chubberific hands and those cute little toes…I just can’t  bear the thought of covering them up.  Not for even one minute.

Baby toes don’t stay baby toes for long and I don’t want to miss one millisecond of it.

So if you see me around town with a barefoot babe, know that it’s intentional.

Because this mama wants to drink in every bit of babyhood.  It goes by much too fast.

And no, his feet aren’t cold.  He’s fine.  Thanks.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Exactly! I don’t put socks or shoes on my baby’s feet, and I get grief from everyone about it — complete strangers have told me I’m an awful mom for not putting “something on that baby’s toes”. No, that baby’s toes are just fine — trust me. Barefoot living is the only way to go!

hahahaa – ‘and no his feet are not cold” because you know some commenter out there will need to write something negative about that!

My youngest (who is about to turn 7 *gasp*), has itty bitty feet. Like two sizes smaller than when her sister was her age. But I’m ok with that. Because, just like you, I love those baby feet! Even if they are starting to get a little stinky. She’s still my baby! Enjoy those ‘chubberific hands and cute little toes’ every second! You’re a fantastic mama!

Yes, it’s true that babies shoes are for the birds because they have so small and cute foot that very small shoes fit to their feet which are equal to the bird feet size.Means birds can also wear the shoes of babies because of very small size. Babies shoes looks very cute and beautiful. In the market, you can get variety of shoes for your babies but babies shoes are expensive also.
