One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are

Ann’s ability to string words together so beautifully overwhelms me.

And the things she says…

about motherhood…

about life…

about finding JOY…

about thanksgiving in ALL THINGS

about God…

resonates in me in a way that few books have done.

It’s thick.  It’s heavy.  It’s amazing.

I’m reading it slowly.

A few pages at a time.

Soaking it in.

Eager to finish.

So that I can read it again.

Soak up more.

Because there’s no way I got it all the first time around.

Ann’s book is messing me up.

And that’s a good thing.

The depth of her words is brought full circle in the Bloom Book Club video series.

Where Angie and Jessica sit down with Miss Ann and talk to her…chapter by chapter.

It is amazing.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is totally going to be one of those books I buy again and again as a gift.

Today was the first of the video Book Club series.

Every Sunday another will air.

You have plenty of time to catch up.

I encourage you to do so.

Do you own the book?  Leave a comment…I’d love to hear what you think of it so far!
Here’s the link again.  Go.  Now.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

I have read about the first half of the first chapter, and like HeirToBlair, I have to stop, re-read, soak it in, and go on. It is incredibly powerful. Vulnerably written, truthfully stated, painfully vivid. Wow.

I do have this book and am almost done. I thought the same thing about wanting/needing to read it again as soon as I finish. It’s rather word heavy which causes one to think their way through this book. The way she puts those words together to form thoughts is incredible. I can tell each and every word was intentionally chosen to portray something specific. I have already found it’s message to be seeping into my life. I think the way the Lord is using Ann’s book is exciting! I feel a revival stirring!
