Pumpkin Time!

I have to admit…

I’m SO not into Fall this year.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Fall…but I’m just having a really hard time getting into it this time around.

I thought maybe our annual trip to the pumpkin patch would help.

She’s just so…TALL.

When did my baby girl grow up???

Henry took his job of “hold onto your sisters so that they don’t fall” VERY seriously.

VERY seriously.

My twins.

Don’t they look so much alike???

You’d think they were identical.

::smirk::

Jill has discovered her tongue.

And you will often find it lollying outside of her mouth.

It’s really quite ridiculous.

As always, Dad picked out the biggest pumpkin in the patch for our front porch.

A pumpkin so big, it took two people to lift it.

Why?

I have no idea.

Must be a boy thing.

And then we went home.

Dirty, tired, and with snot covering three little faces.

But even after our trip, I can’t quite get into Fall this year.

I don’t know why.

Our pumpkins are still sitting on the kitchen counter.

Waiting for a more appropriate and decorative home.

I can’t get the motivation to pull down the Autumn decorations box.

I have all the supplies for costumes, but have no interest in actually making them.

Why is that?

I usually love decorating for holidays…or maybe that’s it…knowing that the crazy of Christmas is fast approaching…?

Do you get excited for Autumn?

Or are you in a Fall Funk too?

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

It could be that you ladies live in Cali. I wouldn’t be able to get into either. You need the nice crisp mornings and delicious fall afternoons of the Midwest! :)

It would be hard not to get into fall here. We live in the the middle of no where in Michigan. The weather is beautiful, and the leaves are changing and falling. My fall decorations have been out since September. :-)

For someone who is in a Fall Funk, you took some gorgeous pictures. Best cure for the Funk is a girl’s night out! Here’s hoping you catch the spirit soon. :)

    rachel heldt says:

I adore Fall. Baked breads, stews, soups, casseroles! Such a great time of year. The only issue is that I am in the process of taking off 10 pounds which doesn’t really match up with the things I love about Fall… But I am wearing an orange shirt today so I kinda resemble a pumpkin!
