Sorry blogging has been light this week. Trying to adjust. :)
A few month’s ago I won a free birthday party at our local children’s museum (I know, I know…I’ve been winning everything lately!)…
So I saved it for Henry’s big three. Perfect!
The party part was hectic, chaotic and I felt really disheveled. It was hard to have activities like eating & cake so segregated from the play part. Because I knew that once the kids got to the museum part, they would want nothing to do with coming back to the party room for presents, you know?
Henry woke up from his nap right before in a foul mood…hid behind my legs half the time…my fancy schmancy camera battery was dead…so Andy had to rush home to get my regular point and shoot…it was just…kinda crazy.
Luckily the part where the kids got to play in the museum was super fun and relaxed!
The kids had fun, clean up was a breeze and I only had to pay for decorations and food…SCORE!
Without further ado, 2 week old pictures for your viewing pleasure:
To help even out the time of people arriving, we did a quick craft: decorate your own mug. Mugs $1 each at Michaels. Cardstock, stickers, and markers I already had. Love cheapy ideas.
Since the party was at 3:00, it was too late for lunch, but too early for dinner. So I stuck with cupcakes and make your own sundaes.
You’re welcome friends.
Mr. Foul Mood himself. “Don’t take a picture of me Mommy!” For reals.
His mood lightened considerably once we got to play in the museum.
I pretty much didn’t even see him the rest of the afternoon.
See the tongue?
That’s me.
I do that when I concentrate too.
Even when I was all dressed to the nines in stilettos and a pencil skirt.
Co-workers did their best to remind me. But it happens.
Esther and I kept the girls company in the baby area.
It was seriously perfect.
The tongue again.
Apparently driving a fake boat is tough work.
Par-tay Animal!
And if you’ve made it this far, I’ll remind you of a couple things:
1. Shamelessly self promote and remind you to vote again today (remember, you can vote everyday until July 12!):
2. Have you read Courtney’s story? Do you know someone who has been touched by cancer? Have you taken the $5 Challenge?
Give.
It’s a good thing.
what a fun party. and at that age… it’s so hard to have something like that at your house. sheesh. i had a party for my 19 year old daughter last night and i’m still recovering! and it was just a simple cook out!
your babies are delicious and the party looked like so much fun. love the activity and the cupcakes looked so yummy!! and ice cream?? that’s a winner. hands down.
and i voted for you. sensory overload on the categories and all the blogs. i guess i’m happy with my six regular readers.

WHY wasn’t I invited!??
Those cupcakes look scrumptious. Can you post the recipe, or the secret to putting cupcakes in a cone without burning the cone?!
Super cute decorations and it makes me hungry for ice cream and yummy toppings.
Good thing I don’t care about dieting!!!
Still voting for you…
