The $5 Challenge

Have you taken the $5 Challenge yet?

You know, the one where you commit to donate $5 to each of the guest blogger featured charities?

I host a guest blogger every 2 weeks.

So, that works out to about $10 a month.

I spend more than that on craft supplies and fabric for projects I don’t ever finish need.

Don’t you?

Really.

My desire is that this blog is an encouragment to others.

To my readers who may need a little pick me up.

To mamas and women who admittedly don’t have it all together.

To my guest bloggers who want to connect and give others a glimpse of what they have learned.

My desire is that this blog helps in a physical, tangible way too.

Did you know that if just 200 people gave $5…we would raise $1,000 for each fundraiser???

{dang!  check out those fancy math skills! I’m a mathmatician…holla!}

Did you know that your $5 may not seem like a lot, and you may think that it is a drop in the bucket to the charity of choice…

and maybe it is…

but that to the guest blogger who poured out her heart and soul…

who exposed her thoughts and lessons for the world to see…

that $5…

that simple, kind hearted giving…

in her honor…

in light of her story…

from a stranger on the other side of the country…

means. so. much.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, especially for those readers who have been here since the beginning.

But I have a lot of new readers now.

I wrote a post, that I think is still a good representation of my thoughts and feelings on the topic.

So please, if you haven’t already…

Read HERE.

No guilt.

No pressure.

But a simple reminder that you can help make a difference, even if just symbolically…to a mama’s heart.

You don’t need to give a lot.

But giving is good.

So good.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

–2 Corinthians 9:6-7

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.
