A Sisters Bond

I figured that the girls would share a special bond being that they were twins and all…but I didn’t realize just how close they would be.

The last few nights, Lucy has been *terrible* at night. She woke up constantly and the ONLY ONLY ONLY way we could get her to sleep for more than an hour at a time was if she was in bed with us…and not just in bed, but actually have the full length of her body pressed up against one of us. It didn’t matter how long we waited for her to be in a deep sleep, or how gently we moved her, she would wake up screaming within 5 minutes of being placed in her bassinet next to the bed. It was bad.

Last night, with her “little” sister home with her…the girls only woke up ONCE to feed. I actually woke up in a panic, but there they were, all snuggled up, nose to nose sleeping soundly…

The nice thing about trials, is that it makes the blessings ten times sweeter.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Wouldn't you know it? Glad you figured it out. So, SO precious! I was told I would be up every couple of hours when Liz was born, and people were right. I WAS up, but she wasn't! I kept waiting for her to wake up and thought something was wrong, but I looked in her bassinet and she was sleeping soundly and I could hear/see her breathing. So, the second night, I slept fine. I figured she'd wake up when she wanted to, not because I woke her. 6 hours first night home. I was SO blessed.

Hi Jeanett and Andy, This is Nancy Rogers keeping up through Mary Kay and the blog and praying every step of the way. So at last I can say, congratulations and isn't God faithful and good. They are beautiful together. How is little Henry holding up?

That is so sweet. I can see one perk (if you can call it that)–the girls' heads are so perfectly round. Nothing is squished or flat. Makes them look extra cute. and, they only woke up once?!!! That's so awesome. since there is a small percentage that will be their sleeping pattern for awhile, shouldn't you feel pretty good that it will happen? You guys like those small percentages.

How's big bro hanging in there? Is he interested in the girls or not so much?
