It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Andy spent ALL afternoon, part of yesterday, and part of last Saturday putting up Christmas lights on the house. 3,500 lights to be exact! Living on a corner lot, and having a long, narrow house/lot (I call it our school bus house), it’s hard to really decorate, we have so much frontage. The photos really don’t do it justice. It’s looks very cute…but it isn’t quite captured in the pictures. A big thank you to Andy for spending so much time to make our house look festive!

On another note, Henry and the dogs are having a blast together. Henry thinks it’s great fun to pull their fur and poke his chubby fingers into their eyeballs. Abbie is slightly annoyed by him and typically just sighs and after a while gets up and walks away (as she’s beginning to do in the last picture and Henry thinks it’s funny). Ryley on the other hand, is just so pleased that she’s being “petted”, she’d lay there all day and let him poke away! This morning I got out of the shower to find my spot in bed occupied and Henry bonking and pulling to his heart’s content. I love that he’ll always have built in playmates as he grows up. I do, however, worry about the trauma that will ensue when one of them dies. Assuming nothing unusual happens, that won’t be for another 10 years…but that’ll be quite hard on little Hen. :(

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

We have a golden retriever as well and he has been the absolute best dog with our kiddos- he is extremely gentle. They have all laid on him, pulled on him, tried to ride him, etc.. and he just takes it. We have had Teagen for almost 10 years and I can hardly think of what life will be like without him. Our kids adore him. Like Henry, they have a built in playmate.

love Henry’s laughing face in the last pic!! Your house looks pretty. I can’t wait until we have a house to decorate the outside of, it’s kind of hard with an apartment.
