Moving Right Along…

Alrighty then. And now back to our regular programming, with the star of our show: Henry!

Henry’s grandpa came up to visit this weekend and as soon as he left, a few others dropped by for a couple of nights. Here are some pics:

Avo (Grandpa in Portuguese) Rocha.

Great Grandma Atkinson.

SCooN (Second Cousin Nelle).

By the way, did you guys know that there is already a famous Henry Gibson? He was apparently some actor in Laugh In? (Before my time, so I had no idea). He played in Blues Brothers and Wedding Crashers and some other movies. Our Pediatrician loves announcing out loud that “Henry Gibson is here!” Apparently he is a fan.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

wow lots of visitors! what a popular guy.

    how was the meeting?

Meeting went well. We had about 10 people there…but only 2 were parents (thanks Joy and Jen!). We’ll be putting together all of the information so no one will really have missed out. But I think it was a sweet time and I hope that it was helpful to those who came. I’m excited to implement all of our new ideas! :)

Thanks for having the meeting. I met with my college girls, so I couldn’t be there. Henry is getting cuter and cuter (and he was really cute to start with!!)

i’ll be interested in hearing some of these grace church “new ideas” you’ve mentioned…maybe they include free babysitting on friday nights or something? :)

yup, you did that kid a favor with that haircut. Sorry I missed your meeting (Grandma’s in town)

i’ll throw in my excuse for missing the meeting too: sister-in-law and family were in town. when do you think the rest of us can learn what we missed out on?

    Yea, whatever. Excuses, excuses! :)

All of the information will be in the newsletter…which you should be getting in the mail in the next week or so…so just check your mailbox and be sure to read it. Lots of new brainwashing techniques throughout! Ha! j/k

The meeting itself was a way to convey the information personally since we can never be sure if people read the newsletter and we really want to get parent’s feedback and suggestions. So, if you have anything you need to discuss or suggest you can always tell me here or email me or Dori. We were asked to have the meeting because I guess a lot of the parents were concerned that they felt out of the loop about what went on and how things were run and didn’t understand why they were having to serve from time to time. So that’s what we covered and it will all be addressed in the newsletter.

Anyway, that’s the deal and no worries that you are all slackers and didn’t come! :)

i feel like i should leave an excuse too, just to be like everyone else! oh wait, i don’t go to grace anymore! i would have been there jeannett, for the record, if we were still members down yonder and i didn’t have a fever and i wasn’t scared that “truth” would show up and pick a fight.

    :) missing you’all.
