This stinks

I’m sick. Really sick. And it stinks. Here is a list of my latest ailments:

  • Sinus Infection
  • Upper Respiratory Infection
  • Ear Infection
  • Bronchitis

Oh, and then, yesterday, I had to leave work at 3:30…felt terrible and was shivering uncontrollably. Turns out I had a fever of 101.5. Spent all of the afternoon/evening/night sleeping and going from shivering cold, to lying in a puddle of my own sweat. Lovely. Missed growth group, and was totally bummed.

I’m feeling better today, my fever is gone, but I’m still kind of achy and just finding that I have to move slowly. I’m going to do some work from home this morning, and then go into work around 11ish. Maybe if I take it easy, I’ll be okay. But, I’m out of sick time, and I’m conducting architect’s interviews this afternoon, and I have to be there for it.

And, 7 months pregnant to boot.

This is ridiculous. I NEVER get sick. I am the type of person who usually gets sick *maybe* once every 2 years. I feel like I’ve been sick almost constantly since I’ve been pregnant. It’s like my immune system just ran away the minute I got pregnant. Brenda tells me it’s because I work too hard and my body can’t handle all the full time working, late night meetings, etc. while producing a baby. Unfortunately, I don’t have a choice in the matter, so I have to be a trooper and keep chugging along. Poop.

Had a midwife appointment yesterday morning. Baby Boy is 29 weeks along, and measuring at 33 cm. Still nice and big. Although she said that because I’m so short, there’s nowhere for the baby to go, so it doesn’t really mean that he’ll be huge. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Ugh, that is horrible! Nothing worse than being sick and still having to plug along.

I used to get about one bad cold a year. This year I’ve gotten several though! I’ve caught the last two colds the kids have brought home.

Doesn’t God know that we women don’t have time to be sick????

Oh I’m so sorry Jeanett. We’ll be praying for a full and longlonglong recovery.

I love anonymous people on the internet. Grow a spine one of these days, say something helpful, or get off of my wifes blog.

You came on first with the hate, anon. My wife, and I for that matter, took offense to that comment which mocked her and her friends on this blog. Give me a break, don’t try and turn the finger on me and play that game. I just called you out on the carpet.

So, I’ll repeat for good measure, if your comment was in fact mocking as we feel it was, get a spine, say something helpful, or get off my wifes blog.

    Have a nice day. :)

It’s all you lemming Christians that are the morons. :-)

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

“While many people believe that lemmings commit mass suicide when they migrate, this is not actually the case. Lemmings will often migrate in large groups and as a result some lemmings will occasionally be pushed off cliffs or drowned in bodies of water simply by the press of their compatriots. The myth of lemming mass suicide is long-standing and has been popularized by a number of factors. It is usually stated that the main source of the belief in the suicide myth was propagated by The Walt Disney Company documentary White Wilderness which includes footage of lemmings running head-long over a ledge. However, the filmmakers contrived this scene.

Due to their association with this odd behavior, lemming suicide is a frequently-used metaphor in reference to people who go along unquestioningly with popular opinion, with potentially dangerous or fatal consequences. This is the theme of the video game Lemmings, where the player attempts to save the mindlessly marching mammals from walking to their doom.”

Let’s be serious, lemming Christians? We’ll see soon enough, as you’ll be the one with fatal consequences of your actions here on earth. So sad that you’re to the point you have to rag on people out of the blue on a pregnancy blog.

    I’ll pray for you.

Spare yourself the self-righteous activity of praying for someone else.

I’ll be the one to suffer the fatal consequences? HAHA. Do your research on your religion. The hypocracy of it is astounding! You’re the one wasting your life and so much of your energy on a worthless and fake premise.

There are real forms of spirituality that are free from the man-made dogma of Christianity that are meaningless. Do your research and open your eyes for the very first time.
