Honey, those aren’t Cheerios…

I recently started giving Henry Cheerios to munch on, which he has thoroughly enjoyed. Maybe a little too much.

What Mom? Can’t a man just have a little breakfast in peace?!

Don’t take it away! Mom, seriously!

Our next lesson will be teaching him the difference between dog kibble and people cereal. YUCK! Luckily we buy the super expensive all natural dog food so it probably won’t hurt him. Yes, he had some in his mouth. Yes, he screamed when I scooped it out of his mouth. Only to shove the kibble he had clenched in his other grubby little fist right back into his mouth. I finally got it all away from him, but not without a fight!

(And yes, instead of scooping him up immediately and taking it away from him, I first had to run around the house looking for my camera…a perfect blog post!)

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

My brother totally did that when he was little… But then, the dog thought that Ben was his puppy, so it sort of made sense. We then proceeded to teach him that if he is hungry he needs to come to us and let us know, and that Lucky’s food was for Lucky, not Ben.

Ainsley used to lay on her stomach so she could look by the floor boards for scraps. Yuck! I’m sure kibble is better than dried our peas and dusty cheerios.
