Because having a mama’s heart can be HARD {Sunday Smiles}

{I posted this last Mother’s Day, but I truly cannot think of a better way to say what Jenni said so beautifully.  Happy DAY sweet friends.  Mamas.  All of us.}

My incredible friend Jenni posted this on her Instagram feed yesterday, and I immediately knew it was perfect for today’s Sunday Smiles.  Love to all you, friends.  Today is beautiful and hard too.

I, myself, have three littles waiting for me in Heaven.  I cannot wait.  It’s going to be AMAZING.

This is for the children of Mothers who have gone before them.

This is for the Mothers who await heaven to be reunited with their child or children.

This is for the Mother who longs for the miles & red tape of adoption to end soon.

This is for the Foster Mother loving in the gap of birth and forever.

This is for the Step Mother who loves because he chose to.  Even when it was hard.

This is for the Mother waiting for God’s promise to come to fruition.

This is for the Mother who has experienced heartache after abortion or adoption.

This is for the Mothers who didn’t have a Mother who loved well & are loving their babies well anyway.

This is for the Mothers waiting by a hospital bed.

This is for the Mother whose little may never say the words ‘I love you’ out loud.

This is for the Mother praying through a deployment.

This is for the Mother seeing her baby grown up locked away in a 4X4 cell.

This is for the Mother believing for the years of addiction and sin to fade into repentance.

This is for the Mother who loved a student, a neighbor, a child’s playmate because your mother heart ached to make that child feel loved & known.

This is for the Mother that is praying hurts heal & distance fades.

This is for the Mother who was told you aren’t good enough or worthy or needed.

His grace is sufficient, His promises are always true & His love abounds. Praying for your heart’s dear sisters may you feel loved, needed & blessed in the eyes of the Father.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

    Thank you Jeannett, for these sensitive and compassionate words. I have been amazed and blessed this year by the number of women reaching out to comfort those of us who would like to disappear on Mother’s Day. I don’t want it it to go away, because I believe mother’s should be honored. I just want to disappear. But these 4 or 5 women, including you, who understand how complicated it can be, on both ends, have truly blessed me this year, so thank you! Happy Mother’s Day!!

    Thank you so much for sharing. I am one of those yet to be moms waiting for those miles of red tape and lack of funding to get out the way in the adoption process so that we finally get to be parents to our child.
