InstaFriday

It’s been a really extra crazy week around here.

Queen Bee Market traveling (and traffic!).

And lots of general chaos.

I’m really glad for it to be over!

If you are new here, InstaFriday is open to anyone with a cell phone.  I have an iPhone and use the Instagram app, but anything works as long as your pictures are grainy, junky cell phone pics!

On the way down to Queen Bee Market, Lindsey picked me up and we carpooled down.

Which is good because a trip that should have taken us 1 hour, took THREE HOURS.

The only saving grace was that we got to stop by Julie’s and squish little Shane.  I die.

I was secretly hoping to stop by the Rainbow outlet…and lucky for me, Lindsey was too!

Never again will I pay retail.

SO much cheaper!

And kid sizes too!!!

Now Henry and Lucy have their very own pair!  (They don’t carry sizes as small as Jilly’s.  Boo.)

A mocha latte, ric rac on my flats, and a knitty bitties coffee cozy?

How else would we signal the end of a loooong Busy Bee day?

Portuguese pastries.

Be. still. my. heart.

Most favoritest thing in the entire universe.

I’ve tried making these myself.

Scoured recipes online (I can read Portuguese so I was even looking at non-English sites)….

Made at least 6 different versions and none of them are even close.

Sad face.

Luckily, there is a Portuguese Bakery near my mom’s house in Southern California and I stop by for these tasty morsels every. single. time. I visit.

Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t have one nearby…

Love this bible.

It weighs like 486 pounds, but it’s good stuff.

I forget sometimes how much awesome is packed in this one book.

God is good.

For reals.

I got to use my brand new chalkboard/magnetic recipe holder frame dealy I bought at the Market from my friend April of Funky Vintage Lovely.

It’s such a fun and funky piece sitting on my kitchen counter.

I don’t know why I waited this long to buy one!

Now, you all know how much I hate games.

Yet, somehow I’m addicted to this iPad app.

Addicted.

And the irony of all ironies is that I stink at it.

Bad.

I lose so fast it’s not even funny.

Yet I keep playing.

It makes no sense.

Remember how I painted my nails gray and I looked like a corpse?

This is the ad I saw that inspired me…so see?

I’m not crazy!

It looks pretty on her!

Right?

Lame.

Andy and I went out to dinner with some clients of his and Nelle texted this picture to us.

This is how she found Lucy and Henry after a shower.

I love that they are cuddling.

These two are peas in a pod.

Peas that are either playing and screaming happily or fighting.  It’s 50/50.

I love that they love eachother.

I love that Lucy is big spoon.

Classic.

Have you read about our Special Needs series and fundraiser yet?  Check it out!!!

Now it’s your turn to grab a button and link up!

And don’t forget to visit at least two other linker uppers and leave them some comment love.  We do Nice in These Parts!

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

I didn’t know about that app. My husband and I would both love it! The ESV is great. Do you have that app? We have it on our iPhone. It amazes me that you can have the entire Bible right there. Amazing and awesome! I haven’t tried my gray nail polish yet. I’m waiting until September. I guess it feels like fall to me. Happy Friday!
