Goofing around on Pinterest (tell me you’re on Pinterest? You follow me right?), I see so many fun things.
It’s where I get a majority of my quotes for Sunday Smiles.
And sometimes, there is something that catches me.
Makes me gasp out loud.
Things I think: I need to TRIPLE pin that! Because it’s not just something I like…but something I NEED.
I saw the most amazing saying.
It was perfect.
It was OUR FAMILY.
Period.
You really couldn’t describe us much better.
I had to have/make/find something that had this quote.
Soon.
Just a few days later my friend Joy blogged about a new sign making venture.
I emailed her immediately.
Her signs were awesome and fun and unique and perfect…and I knew just what I wanted on it:

This is so so so us.
This line…”we do loud really well”…that’s what caught me.
We are LOUD.
We are silly, sing Whitney Houston at the top of our lungs in the kitchen where it echos LOUD.
No, really.
My kids and I sing “I Will Always Love You”.
Even little Jill raises her hand (like she sees people in church during worship) and basically just screams.
And we laugh.
A lot.
A lot.
And we give lots of kisses.
Because I can’t see those little faces for more than 3 minutes without the overwhelming desire to plant a fat one on their cheeks.
We are a crazy little lot.
We are yellers.
We are woefully imperfect.
But…we do grace a lot around here too.
Because I’d be so screwed if I didn’t get grace by the heapfuls myself.
I love this sign.
I love that the words are purposely imperfect.
I love that you can’t miss it.
I love that you have to read it everytime you walk past.
We do.
Our little family.
Together.
As a unit.
Because that’s what families do.
Joy also makes smaller signs with different song lyrics, hymn titles and quotes that make you wanna just cry because your mama’s heart was captured in words.
I pretty much want one of each.
Maybe two.
You do too.
Plus, she’s funding their adoption from Korea with help from sign sales.

Kinda crazy…because I JUST got on Pinterest to find that sign and “pin it”. Not that sign specifically, but one like it. And have you seen (I’m pretty sure you haven’t…because I have all of 3 followers ;) my pallet board?! Completely, 100% dedicated to pallets. I had no idea. Love them!!
Okay, going to put one of these signs on my birthday wish list….
I would have to had “We do messy” and “We do dance”. We do the first one really well and the second one really bad. lol
Oh, my gosh, I REALLY want the “In our Home” sign. I went to Joy’s website and saw that she doesn’t ship yet. But when she does, I’m going to be all over it!
