{Giveaway closed.}
I love Twitter.
I don’t spend much time there and do most of my twitter stuffs in the mornings while having it running in the background while I’m doing my blogging and email and such at 5am.
I accidentally left it up and running the other day and happened to see a tweet about The Twinery.
If they reached 5,000 likes/fans, they would be randomly selecting one of the 5,000 peeps who would win the grand prize of all FOURTEEN spools of twine (including three colors that weren’t even released at the time!).
I clicked over and was actually surprised I hadn’t already like their FB page.
I’ve long been a fan of their gorgeous twine. So I clicked like and moved on with my day.
I was #5,023. I don’t know why I remember that. I can’t remember what I had for breakfast yesterday.
It’s probably obvious by now, but um, I WON!
The grand prize!!!
FOURTEEN SPOOLS of rainbow happiness all bundled up in candy cane goodness of twine!
Giddy.
Did a little dance and even squealed like a schoolgirl.
You should have seen how fast I rushed over to find something to open the box when it came in the mail!
You’d think I was being chased by a wildebeest or something.
But no…just excited about my sunshine in a box.
Maraschino, Pink Sorbet, Blossom, Mandarin & Lemondrop.
(How fun would it be if your job was to name all the colors?!)
Buttercream, Peapod, Honeydew, Caribbean, & Denim.
Denim (again), Lilac, Stone, Charcoal, & Cappuccino.
I have to figure out a fun way to display it…in my kitchen.
This stuff’s way too pretty to sit in a drawer hidden.
When I emailed Nicole my address to send my winnings, I told her “You know, there’s no way I’ll be able to resist blogging about this…and actually, now that I think of it, would you mind if I hosted a giveaway for my readers when I do it? I know they’d LOVE it!”
Because, sweet readers, I do love you.
Plus, it’d be a little janky of me to just sit and write an entire post about how amazing my luck was and do nothing but brag about my ROY G. BIV fabulous and then end the post.
I think about y’all. Seriously.
Luckily, Nicole is a sweetheart and agreed to give away a Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack!
15 yards of twine in each of the original 11 colors!
Which is perfect for making this (first on my twine usage agenda).
So, how do you win? Let’s keep this one fairly easy. (I really dislike giveaways with 8,000 ways to enter.)
1. Leave me a comment in this post telling me what your favorite color twine is AND what color you think they should make next. (1 entry. Mandatory.)
2. Either subscribe to my blog, follow me on Twitter, or like my Facebook page. You can do all three but it’s still 1 entry. If you already do all 3 just leave a SEPARATE comment telling me you do. (1 entry. Un-mandatory.)
I’ll randomly select a winner on Monday, August 8.
Good luck!
You want to win. Seriously. This stuff is super fun.
Oh, and FYI, spools are on sale right now for $12 (normally $14).
{This is not a sponsored post. The story I told was totally true. I randomly won and was under no obligation to blog about it. }
I heart cappuccino! It is so calming and goes with just about everything. Is there a navy blue color yet? One of my favorites colors and always looks classic!
Love the Honeysuckle best of all but all are great and have their best individual uses! Have about a dark forest green next?
I love the Caribbean. They are all amazing.
I liked your FB page. tHank you for the great giveaway. I would have been SOOO excited to win those as well..so many Possibilities .
I love them all but the Honeydew is the one I think I’d use the most. I think a periwinkle would be a fun addition.
I already like you and follow you but (DON’T HAVE A TWITTER).
I love all the colors. My favorite is lilac. I think the next color should be lilac and peapod mixed together!
I love maraschino…..i want to use it on my Christmas cardsx
Omg I love the pink sorbet! I have just discovered twine and have a hundred ideas on how to use it. I would love hot pink with a melon color (call it kukabara?). Thanks for the chance to win!
I liked your Facebook page! I don’t have twitter or whatever it is you need to “follow” someone, buy I will be following you now!
Peapod is my favorite and they should add a lighter yellow color. :)
I “liked” your facebook page.
I heart the red ALOT, ALOT! I would love to see navy blue and white so i could have red, white and blue :)
Choosing just one color in such an array of beauty…almost impossible! But if I have to decide on only one…I choose Stone. Which may seem like a strange choice for someone who loves color so much, but I am totally in love with grey shades these days. I would recommend that they add a deep purple color and a mauve.
I am your newest Facebook follower.
i love love love twine! I think if forced to choose, I would pick honey dew. I think a more vibrant aqua blue would be cool.
I love the pea pod, green color! I think they should make one called 50/50 with orange and white!
Mmm I love Carribean. Going through an orange fad at the moment, so of course I think there needs to be another orange one – what about Mandarin and Lemondrop together – “Citris Bliss”?
I love the Caribbean and Pink Sorbet! I think an apricot/coral and robin egg’s blue would be beautiful!
I love the peapod! I have a thing for green these days!!
I follow you on twitter!
Oh I love this stuff! My fav. of the ones pictured there is the grey. I’d love to see some variations of green (think more of a grass green) or teal?
And I follow your blog! :)
Carribean looks beautiful. How about Abalone (the blue color)?
I follow you on Twitter…
The honeydew is beautiful! Maybe a dark red and white? I think they have plenty of gorgeous colors though :-)
I love the Honeydew. First of all because it’s a groovy green, but second of all, for the name. I love it! And I think they should do a rainbow one or red/white/blue – something patriotic. FUN!
How do you pick just one??!? I’ll narrow it down to 3 and say the lilac, pink sorbet, and the honeydew — because honeydew twine just sounds so fun! And I was going to say “turquoise” for a future color — but after reading a post ahead of me — I love the rainbow idea!
I like you on Facebook!
I love peapod… Mostly for it’s name. I would make a coral color and call it sunset!
i really, really like blossom. and i would love to see a deeper purple — like eggplant!
and I am follower of your blog :)
loving lemondrop!
i follow your blog :)
I love the blossom, so pretty. When I was a kid my favorite crayon was periwinkle, that would make some pretty twine!
I love Blossom; maybe a nice baby blue could be added to the collection?
So LOVE the honeydew…
Maybe a grey? ( I do so love grey) and call it raincloud…
I just love the good old fashioned maraschino red twine. It goes with everything, and can really dress up a pretty package or tag. I love wrapping it around kraft paper packages, or a bright white box (instead of wrapping, I’m lazy).
I love peapod and think they should make a pale peach…
Thanks

I now like you on FB! Thanks
I just love ‘pink sorbet’ and agree with some above comments that having a rainbow mix twine would be fun! :)
Thanks for the chance to win!
I ‘liked’ you on FB! :)
Thanks again for the giveaway!
I love the pink and the yellow! I can just see my baked goods all wrapped up in their prettiness.
I love Lemon Drop! Even the name is super cute!
Wouldn’t it be fun if they made multi color ones…like orange/blk/white for Halloween or Red/Green/White for Christmas projects?
Congrats on your win! What fun!!
Oh WOW!! You lucky, LUCKY girl.. :) how fun.. right now my favorite is Honeydew.. :) I think they should make a true Peach! I would love that.. :)
Thanks so much for the chance to win.. :) HUGS

My favorite color is the grey..I’m a sucker for anything grey….I’d love to see a grey and black twine. Or any color mixed with black
I subscribe to your blog.
I love Pink Sorbet and would like to try Stone…which I think is going to be my next favorite. Congrats on your superb winning.
I like Pink Sorbet the best… and I think their next color ought to be a rich deep dark brown – they could call it something like, “Chocolate Delight” or “Mahogany” (honestly, I don’t think I should name things for a living!). I just subscribed to your blog and liked your FB page, too. Thanks for the chance to win!
