He will take pictures of some of his favorite toys…including a fake Lexus that’s about as close as he’ll get to driving anytime soon…
His Crayola Glow Stationtoy… (Which is such a favorite, we gift it to friends regularly).
And his bike…
He will take pictures of the pictures in Jilly’s picture book for speech therapy…
Which includes a picture of Auntie Marcia acting like a nerd…
He will take pictures of Sid the Roomba…
In fact, you will find 62 pictures of the Roomba on that media card…
He won’t forget to snap a couple of the dogs…Abbie nestled among plastic assortedness…
Or of Lucy and Ryley on a great exploration of the neighor’s unkempt lawn…
He will turn the camera on himself, for a great shot of his nostrils…
Being the brother, he won’t take any mercy on his sister and her bad hair day post nap….
Or a still groggy and half asleep Lucy…
But in his snapping and clicking, he will capture the bond that he and “the sisters” have…because only he can get them to smile just like this…
Or this…
And if you give a kid the point and shoot camera you found in the drawer, he will eventually say “Mommy, I want to use the BIG camera now!”…
because if you give a kid a camera, he’s liable to take pictures.
{This exercise was soooo fun! I encourage you to hand your kid your camera for the day…after firmly threatening instructing them to be SUPER ULTRA careful…and enjoy looking back through the photos from the eyes of your little.}
Don’t forget to come back Monday for a new guest blogger for our infant loss/miscarriage series and our fundraiser benefitting the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation! Have you given yet? Just $1? It’s Friday…you totally should. :)

Love the post {my kids are bit older} so I just handed the keys to my Lexus to my son with his shiny new learners permit in hand…really really wish we were still at the point of playing with the toy Lexus was enough to keep him happy. Your picture just made me smile!
This is so cute and fun!! My daughter (now 8) has been an avid picture taker for years now and I adore seeing the world through her eyes!! So glad I found this blog!
Can’t wait until my lil monster is big enough to do this!

That is so fun! My kids take hilarious pictures too. The one of Lucy sucking her fingers makes me no nostalgic. My 8 yr. old used to suck the same two fingers and now she’s all tall and lanky and reading and crap. I keep telling her to stop growing up so fast, but she doesn’t listen. ;)

Embarrassed.
Cute!! I’ve found that attaching a hairtie to the camera strap and instructing kiddos to wear that on their wrist greatly reduces my anxiety about them dropping it!!
Awesome! We have the same picture books for speech therapy! Whoever thought of that is a genius!!! Allie loves them! And flashcards, therapy has made her love flashcards! Weird. :) Allie mostly takes pictures of her nose… but she’s just two.
