The Obligatory Grandma Post

Did you know that I first started this blog way back in the day as a way to keep grandmas and far away family up to date on what we were up to?

Fascinating things like “Today I went to the OBGYN.  I measure 32 centimeters and gained 47 pounds this week.”

Or “Today Henry had green poop.”

It was titilating really.

And somehow, I don’t what the heck happened, but my blog grew and changed and became something entirely different.

Although, really, I’m still not entirely sure what.

Anywhoo, I realized it’s been a bit since I’ve posted some pics of the kidlets.  And I think the grandmas are getting antsy.

So, without further ado, here are some shameless “look how cute my kids are” pics:

My boy.  Rarely fully clothed.  Always barefoot.  Always pushing a wheeled something or other.

Miss Jill.  Bright blue eyes, polka dots and ruffles.  I’m sure it doesn’t get much better.

No.  Wait.  I take that back.  Bright blue eyes, polka dots, ruffles, and sitting up like a big girl.

MUCH better.

Lucy is obsessed…OBSESSED…with all things necklace.

And it totally freaks her Dad out to see her bedazzled in Mardi Gras beads.  Not kidding.  He can hardly look at her when she’s wearing them.   Stresses him out.

Even if this is her standard “LOVE YOU DADDY!” look.  Can you just SEE the adoration in her eyes???

She never looks at me like that.

Ever.

So there you have it: my three kiddos.

Grandmas can breathe again.

Aren’t they stinkin’ CUTE?!  :)

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Daddy love is amazing! It is so beautiful! But sometimes we want a little for ourselves. I think we do get it in the everyday hum drum but we have to learn to appreciate it. It’s just as amazing as the Daddy adoration :)

So stinkin’ adorable! For me, it’s the “grandpa” post. he texts me every time I don’t have a new one up within a week. The best part…he LIVES 20 minutes from us and can see her anytime he wants. Oh, grandparents!!! :)
