I love this face.
But last night…and the last few nights…
this face has been on my List.
You know the List.
It’s not a good one to be on.
It’s not her fault though.
We think her new medication is causing her some insomnia.
Her napping has never been stellar to begin with…but it’s downright atrocious now.
And she wakes up every two hours…
11:30 p.m.
1:30 a.m.
3:30 a.m.
5:30 a.m.
It’s like I’m back in the newborn days…except that I know what to do with a newborn: nurse them back to sleep. Done. (or at least my kids were that easy about it).
Thing is…she’s not hungry. I’ve tried giving her a bottle…nope, doesn’t want it. She’s angry and frustrated. You can tell she’s sleepy…she just can’t stay asleep.
And remember, her crib is in our room? Cool. Love it.
Doc says to hang in there…maybe her system will get used to the meds and it will work itself out.
Or not.
She told me to get back with her in a month.
a MONTH.
I’ve decided that God for sure knew what He was doing when he made babies cute.
Because seriously…with a face like this…
it’s impossible to be mad for too long.
And then there are these two little faces I am greeted with…
Who insist on everyone piling into the same bed every morning…
because really…they love eachother.
And mama loves seeing all three of her little faces in one space loving on each other.
Makes the bone numbing tired feeling worth it.
And don’t forget that today is the LAST DAY to donate in honor of Courtney’s story!!!

Oh good grief! What awesome pictures! You know you are the photographer for their 1 year photos…since you now have that awesome camera! I know it’s hard but, like you said, with those faces…those eyes…those smiles…how can you stay mad?
Oh I agree! My boys test me everyday and then I look at their cute little faces I cave…God knows what he is doing :) Your kiddos are super cute!
