I’ve found that Henry’s behavior for the entire day is largely dependent upon whether or not he gets some one on one time with Mommy. I try to get that in during the girls’ morning nap.
Some days we prep for dinner, one day we baked pumpkin mini muffins, or trim the flowers in the garden, or play puzzles, or paint…washable, of course…
It’s so funny…I was so neurotic at first about him not mixing the colors and tainting the jars with the “wrong” paintbrush. And then I remembered…oh yeah…he’s TWO…and this should be FUN. So I backed off and let him do whatever. No matter how badly it pained me to see those perfect little jars slowly turn to that caca brown…they’re not there yet, but they will be…soon, I’m sure. Sigh…
This kid kills me.
I’m such a sucker for those baby blues.
When he’s 16…I’m toast.
So true about the paint. Hard not to lament the mess, then I find I lament them growing out of wanting to get messy!
I'd say around 12 or 13 your toast. :) Glad you get some Henry time.
i don't believe in painting at home. you're a good mom, jeannett.
