Just for the record: Andy is the one who logged on and blogged this. I don’t mind, just thought I’d mention it. Andy had to take him to vet and have him put down this morning. Ferret Cancer. So sad.

Was it pronounce Ma-lone-ee? I used to call David Stinkey Maloney. Why? I don’t know.
No, it was Malone (as in Karl Malone the basketball player), but we used to call him Maloney Baloney.
Yes, it was miserable, way harder than I ever thought it would be for a ferret, of all things. I sat there and held him until he stopped breathing, poor guy. I cried the whole time, and Jeannett left me to deal with it solo because she’s a wuss.
Okay that is SO SAD! I’m really sorry! My kids always loved looking at your ferrets. He will be missed.
Oh Andy and Jeannett, I am so sorry about Malone. You did the most loving thing–holding him until he was gone–I am proud of you. It is so sad when we lose our animals–they are so much apart of us.

you had a ferret? I did not know that! I had a girlfriend who has ferrets, they were so sweet.
i’m so sorry. i didn’t even know you had a ferret. it is so hard to put an animal down. that’s one of the only times i’ve seen my dad cry.
wow, you had a ferret? huh. i thought they were illegal pets?
anyway, i’m sorry! i hate when pets die. i want another pet someday, but the first thing i think about is how hard it is when the pet dies, and i don’t want to go through that again!
