We spent a week in Southern California at Disneyland.  You know this.

Got home on Wednesday afternoon…crafted my tail feather off all day Thursday and Friday…and then headed down to LA just 48 hours later to throw my sister a baby shower.

It was a whirlwind of lots of driving, packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking…

BUT GLITTER.

I have a post with all the details slated to go up tomorrow.  It was supposed to go up yesterday but then Andy’s new iPhone 6 plus (which is really like the iPad Mini Mini) came and he commandeered the computer to do all the setting up or whatever.  COMPLICATED nonsense.

Honestly one of my favorite baby showers to date.  And I’ve hosted a few.

You guys.  This kid.

Drives me batty up a wall some days.  For real.

But his heart is made of the purest, blingiest gold.

The other night, as I tucked him in for bed, he leaned over and “Mom?  Do you promise to tuck me in every night?  Even when I’m a teenager?”

GAAAAHHHHHH.  Melted.  On the floor.  Puddle.

You better believe it buddy.  Pinky swear it.

Also, teeth are falling out of his head.  Darling, yes.  But teeth fall out of KIDS’ heads.  Not babies.  And this is definitely NOT acceptable.  At all.

Bunting is like the happiest sprinkle topping in life.

Scrappy bunting made by a sweet friend you adore to the moon and back?  Even better.

My staple gun has a job to do today.

If you love happy, bright and polka dots follow Jamie on instagram.  You’re welcome.

Homeschooling with a #naughtyporkchop underfoot is challenging.

He’s always been around, but as he’s getting older, he’s getting…louder?

Luckily, he’s beginning to get the hint and finding ways to quietly play while the big kids work.  I mean, for like 18 consecutive seconds at a time, but look.  I”ll take what I can get.

Thank you washable dry erase markers.  They keep him occupied and wipe right off…the board…the bookshelf…walls…library cart.  You know, whatever.  (working on that.)

Also, can I just say how much I love when he wears a giant shirt as jammas?  Gah.  Cutest.

Dad was out of town a couple days this week for business.

The flight path is right over our neighborhood, so Uncle Ben flew in a little closer to the front yard so the kids could wave to daddy.

Such a simple, simple thing, but MADE. THEIR. DAY.  There was much jumping and yelling and laughter and big ol’ smiles.

Bonus: dad walked through the front door about 20 minutes later.

Boom.

And don’t forget: JUST TEN DAYS LEFT TO ORDER SHIRTS AND/OR BRACELETS!!!!!

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Your family though! Just the cutest. I mean, really, til he’s a teenager? My teen is in college now and pokes me on Facebook every morning. I guess it’s the same thing. Maybe?

Love all of these. He’s such a handsome little guy, I can totally understand melting. Boys can be so sweet. Also, that bunting! I love it & your gallery wall. Have a great weekend.

I love these peaks into your life, thanks for sharing! (Especially with people you don’t really know, like me). I think you should do a post on gallery walls because I always love yours. They are super colorful and look planned but effortless. I always get caught up in making it all symmetrical and I want to know your tricks!

Still tuck Tessie in when she is home…she always asks me to…will do it as long as she wants me to…makes this mama’s heart happy. Loved it when the kids wore their daddy’s shirts as PJ”S.

My nephew is 21. He still lays in my lap and asks me to rub his back. They grow up but not really.
