Everyone has Fifth Disease around here.
Which sounds way scarier than it is.
But I spent my morning playing Florence Nightengale and googling.
Also taking super official Facebook polls to figure out our maladies.
Hence, InstaFriday is a little late.
Also, I was having a dream that I was dating Justin Timberlake.
So I slept in.
Ahem.
Ready for some grainy fun this fine Friday?
Join us! It’s my favorite.
(I’m jeannettg if you want to follow)
So often, this girl’s wild, unruly curls and penchant for running barefoot make it hard to capture how beautiful she is. Also, Pirate Elvis.
But in the morning light, I got it.
She has the most beautiful skin.
And her year round freckles become more pronounced as we get into the warmer months.
When we saw Frozen in theaters, she leaned over and whispered “Mama! Princess Anna has polka dots like me!!!”
It’s possible I died right then and there.
My yellow Vans give me blisters on the back of my heels.
But sometimes it’s worth it.
Because yellow.
The Monster Skate Series is over (thank you sweet baby Jesus).
My boy placed third this day, and third overall in the series in his age division.
His trophy was a sawed off deck spray painted lime green.
Just what I needed.
The team had a pizza party.
Is there a more appropriate impromptu TV tray than a skateboard?
There was also cake.
So it was basically a perfect night.
This kid is OBSESSED with toothbrushes.
Obsessed.
As in, we hide them at home or he wants to walk around with it ALL DAY LONG.
Also, no shoes.
Because fourth kid.
And baby toes.
And no. He’s not cold. He’s fine. Thanks.
So he’s a crazy beast of a kid, but he’s really TIDY.
He likes to clean. Put things away. He hates having his hands dirty.
This is an unfortunate combination when he’s also a wild banshee with no regard for rules or fear.
Like when he got a hold of my giant sized Sharpie.
Rubbing alcohol gets that right off carpet and walls.
My boys (actually all four of my kids) are in a wedding in a couple of weeks.
The cute factor is through the roof.
I cannot wait.
Okay, your turn!
How was your week?

Fifth disease? Ok, I continue to learn something daily on your blog. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

Rub the back of your heels with deodorant before you put your shoes on. Bye-Bye blisters! (Works great on pinky-toes too!)
I can totally relate to the sharpie incident! We just experienced some fun involving our three year old, two bottles of my current favorite nail polish, and the game of Life.
Oh! a wedding – so fun! I can’t wait to see pictures of flower girl Jilly and her walker! (She’s going to steal the show. Just warn the bride, and it will be good. Not to leave anyone out let’s just say it now: most awesome bridal party ever. Henry’s sweetness, Lucy’s hair and spunkiness, Jilly’s bravery and Owen’s cuteness = awesome pictures. (and just a wee bit of stress for you mama. Moving, sickness, and wedding stuff? p’shaw, you’ve got this.)
