We decided to meet up with Daddy for lunch one weekday.
Of course the kids wanted to eat at Rock N Roll Diner. It’s an old rail car converted to be a fun little restaurant.
The food’s kinda meh, but the kids love it so I guess it’s gotta work.
Owen has discovered he can catch the chi chi’s.
So he does.
The other day I heard sqwaking coming from my living room. When I looked down, I found him trying to get upstairs with a chicken about as big as him.
Also, he is obsessed with shoes. Even if he can only find one.
Just one.
Our system for earning the privilege to compete in skate competitions continues.
My white cabinets were looking grimy what with all the Porkchop fingerprints, so I put the boy to work with a magic eraser.
Good as new.
I finished the entire Divergent series in about a week.
With only a few chapters left, I sat in a random parking lot and finished.
It was so quiet and peaceful. Way better than the hustling, bustling, whirring blender, frother steaming Starbucks gig.
Totally gonna do that more often.
Laden with preservatives and food dyes, I brought home grocery store cupcakes.
For no reason.
Except that there was Ariel.
And because Cake.

I read Divergent as fast as I could too- I was a little sad it was over. Don’t know how much I want to see the movie yet but I am sure I will. The books are just always better! Though it looks like a great cast.
PS I am grateful my kids don’t have a chicken now.

Love everything about this. It’s awesome that you’re teaching H to earn his competitions. Smart mama. That picture of O with the chicken is priceless. And, the reading thing.. I often go about 15 minutes early to pick up my kids from school, JUST so that I can read in the car. It’s the perfect time for me and it’s so nice and quiet. I’m also reading Divergent. Almost done with the first book.

I haven’t done this in so long, Jeannett. How do you link up. I forgot and I was thinking it was a different way now. Anyway, I’m going to try and use my Instagram more. Can you zoom with Insta? That’s the main reason I was just using my camera, but want to try Insta more. Anyway, I’m sending you something and I was noting how the pics of #naughtyporkchop just kill me.
