Every week we get together and tell the stories behind the filtered photos.

(I’m jeannettg on Insta if you’d like to follow along there.)
Many, many moons ago, when Andy and I were still just dating pups, he got me two cards for whatever our first holiday was.
A funny one and a sappy one. “Because I just couldn’t pick. They were both perfect in their own way.”
And so, 15 years later, I still get two cards for every single occassion.
It’s so simple, but I love it.
(Also, the inside of that top card says “And by time, I mean kids.”)
We really wanted to take the kids to see The Lego Movie, and it was one of those 50/50 chances that the Porkchop would actually sit through it. We had hoped that red vines and a giant screen would be enough.
Turns out, we only made it through about half hour of the movie…and a half hour of previews. So, it wouldn’t have been too bad if not for all the danged before stuff.
Lucky for me, I wasn’t super into the movie anyway, and the theater was gracious enough to refund me my ticket. No harm no foul.
O to the Bo and I spent the remainder of the movie wandering around the mall.
And by wandering, I mean he ran full force while I watched from sorta afar. Every once in a while, he would just lay down. Right there. Right int he middle. Like, takin’ a little rest. No bigs.
Eventually he found the skate shop and promptly ran in as fast as he could, ran behind the counter, and sat down between a very confused Mr. Dan’s legs. I had seen him run in and I was just a handful of yards behind, but not yet inside the store, when I heard “Ummmmm, hi Owen! Where’s your mom?????”
So, I spent more time at the skate shop. Again.
Target, you slay me.
This bracelet is so over the top and giant and weighs a small ton.
But I love it and want to marry it.
And so, I shall keep an eye on it until I see a little red sticker on the tag.
And so begins the beginning of a new era.
The Porkchop Earns Time Outs.
His face was so classic.
I don’t even remember what he did, but whatever it was, it was worth it to see this.
Y’all I don’t know how I’m going to manage. He’s just too much.
(Side note: that little bench is 20-something years old. My dad made it for my little brother and eventually handed it down to us. It somehow became our official Time Out Bench. In other words, there are seasons it gets heavy use. So my dad should be glad it’s not gathering dust, right?)
Link up your Instagram account below (for example, mine is http://instagram.com/jeannettg). I’m not talking about linking up a blog post, but your actual Instagram account. (although you can totally link up your InstaFriday post too if you did one.)
If you link up, follow at least 2 other people who linked up. (I will too!)
The idea? You get to follow cool people from this community (my favorite) AND you get a few new followers yourself!
***NOTE***: for some silly reason, you can’t select a photo using this method of linking directly to an instagram account. If you see something about a 500 error, it doesn’t mean it won’t work, it just means that it can’t find a picture to link to. If you have a photo you want to use for the thumbnail, click the “Upload from computer” or “Direct Image URL”. Otherwise, you’ll just have the blue frog thing as your image. Which isn’t nearly as fun as seeing your smiling face.
I love those little red tags at Target too!
