#teamjilly love

I realized the other day that I had never really officially given the #teamjilly wrap up report.

Because I’m super official.

I shared photos and thoughts from our trip to Disneyland and the Walk to End Epilepsy.

But I wanted to also share a few other things:
9f8807ba4e6a11e39e9b0e243cc3bbb4_8 We donated $2,000 to the fund from shirt, bracelet, and printable sales!

You know, I used to really not like purple.

#teamjilly gear found it’s way to 48 out of 50 states (even Alaska and Hawaii!!!!)  (New Hampshire and Wyoming I’m gunning for you next year…)

#teamjilly was represented in the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Russia, and Japan!

There was #teamjilly in an airplane with a dog, a cat wearing a tie, representing while someone was donning a bow and arrow, baking, eating, snuggling babies, touring aquariums, and of course, with CAKE.

Cousin Graeme couldn’t make it to the Walk, so he threw himself a birthday party…charged a cover fee…and whole bunch of broke college kids who have never met her, donated $300 for our girl.

My friend Tracy baked cookies worthy of a frame.

Sunday School classes held up a poster of support.

A sweet far away friend taught her 1st grade class the importance of kindness and compassion in the name of Miss Jill.

Family drove hundreds of miles to be there with us.

We raised a total of $6,924!!!!!!

And this mama.

She cried.

And cried.

And cried.

And is still crying.

Because it is SHOCKING.  Humbling.  AND AWESOME in ways I never dared to dream.

The folks at the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles fell in love with our blonde too.  She’s now a prominent feature on their FB cover page and is making a splash within the pages of their annual report to board members.

Oh, and there’s a video too.

Overall, the moral of the story:

I have the best readers, family and friends in the UNIVERSE.

This new fangled internet thing is a scary place.

But it’s a beautiful place too.

Love you all friends.  So very much.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

OK – I’m at work, watched the video without sound… and still choking back tears while sitting at my desk. So incredibly proud.
