Hi!!!
Um, FRIDAY!
The week is almost over, and the Walk to End Epilepsy is SUNDAY!
(I’m jeannettg on Insta if you want to follow.)
Here’s a glimpse into our week:
His baby life is really hard.
Being a baby today isn’t like what it was like when you were a baby.
You really don’t understand.
Related: the escapee leg from the jamma pants? My favorite.
The Happy Day Project begged for some drive through love.
And while I was there paying for the order behind me, seemed silly to not get something for myself, right?
Pretty sure he’s the most loved on baby in the history of all babies.
They all fawn over him.
But Lucy. She’s a mama deep down.
Also, he has my keys. And that pretty much terrifies me.
We packed Operation Christmas Child boxes this year and to give the kids some background, we watched a couple of videos from their site.
This week was book fair week at Henry’s school and I found this book.
It is excellent.
Excellent.
I feel like it should be on every home bookshelf and in every classroom.
I basically want to read it to my kids every single day before they head off to school. SUCH great conversations have cropped up. My favorite.
We started a list this week of things we are thankful for.
Please note Lucy’s addition of “babies”. Of course.
And Henry: “pinecones”.
Obviously.
You just swooned, didn’t you?
I’m telling you.
Every time Lisa comes out with a new product I think there is no way she can possibly ever top it.
And then she does.
Every time.
As tempting as the perfectly color coordinated trees I see in stores are, the older I get the more I want my tree to be a visual story of our lives.
I want trinkets that have meaning and love. Whether they match or not.
I’m so over matching.
Love. Love. Love. I want Love hanging on every branch and twig. I want memories and meaning.
(And lots of tinsel too. I want to try gaudy over the top tinsel this year. I’m just scared because Porkchop.)
My kids names handstamped in pewter? Perfection.
(And at only $20…PLUS 15% off with code verymerry15…$17 is pretty much the best.)
A couple notes as we end the week:
1. The Walk to End Epilepsy is THIS SUNDAY!!!! If you bought #teamjilly gear, don’t forget to wear it and tag it! I’m so excited!
2. The Walk to End Epilepsy is THIS SUNDAY!!!!! Have you donated to our team page yet? Five bucks. For reals. Double dog dare you. Fine. Two bucks. Seriously. (I know how many of you are out there…let’s just say that a buck a piece and we’d KILL IT.)
3. I’m pulling a winner for the Nat Geo Angry Birds Star Wars book later today. Enter soon if you’re interested!
Peace out friends. Happy weekend!
Your kids really do seem to have a special bond with one another. So sweet. Love the idea of the chalkboard wall with what you’re thankful for. I might need to do something similar. Hope the walk this weekend is awesome!

Babies are so funny when they’re upset. My kids used to put their faces in their hands like it was the end of the world. Just cute.

LOVE the Christmas Child box. I will be helping my 2yo assemble hers this weekend. Do you have each child assemble their own box or do you have them work together on it? Next year, our baby will be old enough to do one. Curious to hear how you handle it. I’m trying to be really intentional and thoughtful about parenting decisions and traditions.
