What up FRIDAY?!
Stoked. Just stoked.
I didn’t snap many instas this week…my mom and grandma were in town for a few days and I did what any normal person does when she has company…I cleaned and organized like a fiend.
Extra sets of hands and eyes for keeping littles from killing themselves = mama’s gonna empty out and re-organize the pantry, the fridge, and five cabinets.
Andy was out of town most of the previous week, and by Friday morning, I was pretty spent.
So I swung through the Bucks on the way home from dropping off all the littles at school and then sat outside in the warm morning sun sipping on an overpriced coffee that I could have made at home for free fifty free.
I thought I’d snap this little pic of my idyllic morning. Because it felt pretty idyllic in that unicorns and glitter kind of way that only spring mornings and babies in footie pajamas can create.
Annnnndddd then he decided to eat my flowers.
Cue record scratch and the end of that idyllic business.
Next he tried to eat bark. And finally I saw that his diaper was leaking. My coffee was lukewarm by the time I got back to it.
Like I said…idyllic.
You wanna know why I love instagram?
Lots of reasons, but in this case, I’ve been looking for a little round side table for my living room. I felt like there needed to be a place to set a mug of coffee or a Dr. Pepper when you sit in that chair.
But everywhere I looked, the tables were either too big, too short, or just plain too expensive.
I found this one at Target on clearance (yessssss), but I wasn’t sure if the wood clashed with my floors.
Instagram told me no.
So it stays.
I will always marvel at the stamina and general chutzpah of single mamas.
Four days flying solo and I was all crazy eyed.
Hot pink toes help with the crazy.
Have I mentioned how much I love springtime?
And babies?
Orange juice makes for sticky messes, but hot dang it’s the best ever.
Not the best ever?
Mountains and mountains of laundry. Always. Forever. Never ceasing.
Offset by my new shoes. I’ve been crushing on those fun obnoxious neon shoes I’ve been seeing, but not the $100+ price tag. Because you know, I run…errands.
I found some Sketchers (I know, not hip…it’s whatevs. I’m a mom.) at TJ Maxx for $30. Solid.
And lastly, I took this ultra awkward selfie simply because I wanted to show off my weiner dog shirt.
It’s green. And has weiner dogs. Which makes it pretty much the best shirt ever.
Andy thinks it’s random. Clearly he knows nothing.

You know what? I only have 3 kids, but when the single thing becomes a regular occurrence, you get used to it. My husband has been traveling since 1 yr into our marriage and now, when he is home too often, I get twitchy. Weird, but true.
