I didn’t insta much this week because I was basically on death’s door all week.
I was siiiiiiick. Hacking cough, my body ached like I had been hit by a truck, fevers that came and went…it was pretty bad. I don’t cry when I’m sick or hurting usually…and this week I cried.
So, I swallowed my pride and went to the doctor. After Andy threatened to leave me if I didn’t go. Details.
Turns out I had bronchitis…and was even sent in for a chest x-ray because the doc suspected pneumonia. 8 days before Christmas. NO. I do NOT have time for pneumonia. Moms of four kids, the week before Christmas cannot do pneumonia. It’s just not an option.
X-rays came back okay…and you want to know that awesome part about being really really picky/weird/selective about taking meds? When you DO take them, they kick in QUICK.
I went from crying on Monday night…took my first dose of antibiotics…to feeling 80% better Tuesday morning.
The love affair continues.
And can I just say how awesome it was that when I posted this pic on Instagram, my caption was simply “Hello Baby Brother”…and immediately everyone was all “Yay Jilly!!!” “Look at her!”
Because, yes, it is a huge, huge, HUGE deal that girlfriend climbed up on this little stepstool/nightstand to peer into the crib.
I love that you guys noticed. I love that you guys rooted for my girl. I love you Internet.
The folks at Oreck are the BEST to work with.
Remember that review and giveaway I did for them months ago?
After all was said and done, they sent me a handwritten thank you card. A thank you card! I can’t get my act together enough to send thank you cards when they are socially expected, and they sent me one after a business transaction!
And then, months later, a surprise Christmas gift?!
Classy people. With a C. Not to be confused with Klassy. There is a difference.
Last week’s “stability pole”: Klassy. Oreck team: Classy.
So when the doctor says “You don’t have pneumonia, but take it easy, drink lots of water and rest”…that means a quick day trip to the Merriest Place on Earth, right?
Yesterday, it was also the CRAZY BUSIEST Place on Earth. I’ve been to Dland many times. I’ve seen busy. This…this was insanity. You could hardly WALK. The guy at the parking structure said it was probably the busiest day of the year.
I just kept thinking how glad I was we had annual passes…because if we had paid full price admission to get in, I would have been really upset. I think we got on 3 rides in 6 hours? Boo.
Cousins Nelle and Tess came with us too.
Jill pretty much thinks she’s a grown up.
The tights slay me. It’s the one thing that keeps me from hating winter and cold weather. Little girls’ patterned tights. I got these in a three pack at Costco for $9.99. Rainbow argyle. I die.
Today is December 21.
I have yet to wrap a single gift.
Undercover Naughty reminded me why…my Oreck gift? Torn apart in minutes. That little one looooooves pretty paper. Loves. We have often joked we were just going to buy her a stack of scrapbook paper as a gift.
I have lots of wrapping to do this week. Ack.
(Btw, they are replacement bags for my vacuum. Score!)
You’re turn! What cute pics did you grab on your phone this week?
