The Happy Day Project 2012: {Treat Someone}

What’s The Happy Day Project?  Click here to read more about it, what the tasks are for this week, and to link up if you are joining us!

The Happy Day Project is chugging forward and I hope you’ve had fun joining in!

If you haven’t had time, it’s totally okay!  You can start now!  Anything is better than nothing, right?

Today, we want to show the simplicity of kindness.

Treat someone.

Anyone.

Any way you want.

Just make someone smile from unexpected thoughtfulness.

What does that mean?

Well, you could bake cupcakes for your neighbor today.

You could snip a couple of flowers and put them in a mason jar for your child’s teacher.

Cookies for your husband’s office?  Wife points for sure.

Or, if you find yourself at Starbucks (or McDonald’s, or…) pick up the tab for the guy in line behind you.

Simple.  Sweet.  Kind.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

In fact, it seems to be better when it’s not.

Plus, Mique of 30 Handmade Days (you subscribe to her blog right?  Right?) made us this adorable pillow box for maximum delivery system cuteness.

A couple of cookies tucked in there?  Perfection.

So maybe you don’t really have time today to bake up some delectable goodies you pinned last week.

Or perhaps you don’t think you’ll find yourself in the drive thru ordering a mocha frappacino thing today.

Never fear!

Kindness doesn’t have to be limited to our own itty bitty circles.

Because for the price of two frothy beverages from your local coffee shop, you can help provide clean water for 10 years.

$10 = 10 years.

No. joke.

100% of your donation is used directly for water projects.  No overhead.  And it’s tax-deductible.

There is truly no better treat I can think of but to give clear, fresh water.

To give a mom peace of mind as she watches her children drink.

Clean water.  Clean water.  Clean water.

Seriously.  It’s importance is so overwhelming I can’t even put it into words.

And if $10 is a stretch right now…how about $5?

Every little bit.

Go HERE to donate.  It’s easy.  Promise.

Treat sweet faces on the other side of the world with me today.

And then deliver some pumpkin muffins to your neighbor.

Because Happy is simple.

And awesome.

How will you be treating someone today?

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Help! I tried to donate to the water and it keeps giving me the error message “There was an error processing your transaction, please try again later.” Has anyone else gotten this message?

Just donated charity water…thanks for making it easy to do. I did not get an error, yet I did not get a “thank you for your donation” page or receipt to print. I am hoping it comes through on my email soon.
