InstaFriday

We are still at the hospital.

Waiting and waiting and waiting for a seizure.

It’s like watching paint dry.

Except this paint is whiny and irritable and purposely sleep deprived and sick of having a 10 square foot area it can be in.

Owen is officially out of sorts today, over tired, over stimulated, and just fussy and angry.  He cried for two hours straight last night at the hotel until my poor mother in law called me crying herself.  I ended up staying at the hotel with him, while she stayed at the hospital with Jill.

Everyone is getting antsy and feeling a little loony.

I realized that the photo above was the first time I had stepped outside of the hospital in three days.

I can’t imagine the poor people who live this life for months (or even years!) on end.

I’m praying hard for a seizure soon.

We need to get home.

Tell me you’re having a better week than we are.

Link up, grab a button (in my sidebar), and visit eachother!

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

O man. I’m praying for you. I asked my blog readers (not many) to pray for you, too. I hope that’s okay. I hope that next week will be better for you, starting today.

oh sweet friend….having had two children have five day hospital stay surgeries this summer {with a 6 month old with us for one of them} I feel your pain. Dave would go and sleep with Little Mister over at the hotel room and I stayed and slept in the hospital ‘mom’ bed. Hopefully you got a good night sleep last night in a hotel bed with Owen by your side.

Continuing to pray for your family and for Jill and her safety. I had to keep Little Miss in her hospital crib for 5 days…..3 of those days laying flat! Almost impossible. Keep up the good work. You are doing exactly what you should be doing and hopefully God will pour out his blessings on you soon and answer your prayers. They are heard…just in His timing. Love to you.

Hoping you get home soon. Wish I lived closer to help out.

Sometimes we forget things… In this post http://liferearranged.com/2012/05/always-always-always/ you pointed out pain and stomach flu are triggers. I don’t know if there is any way to induce stomach flu, since i doubt pinching (or something close) would be enough pain…
Hope that comes across right, I’m feeling like a bit of an ass trying to help give her a seizure.

Oh no…we have totally not forgotten. It’s been the running joke that we “accidentally” let her fall off the bed. But the Doctor reminded us that everything’s being videotaped and we might get a call from CPS if we did that. ;)

My sister and I also marveled at how we have medication to induce labor…medication to STOP seizures, but nothing to cause them. “We can in the lab…with rats…but that’s not really helpful here.”

As for the flu, the floor we are on has some VERY sick kids. Kids who, if they got the flu, could literally die. So doubt they would be willing to somehow inject her with something to cause it. Keeping her from sleeping very much (only 5-6 hours per night and no naps) and keeping her off of meds is literally the best and only options we have. You feel pretty helpless, but it’s what we have to work with.

But I totally get how weird it feels to hope for and brainstorm for seizures! It’s so backwards!!!

You are heavy on my heart tonight. Praying for you and Jill, and for a much-anticipated seizure. I can’t comprehend all you are experiencing physically and emotionally – but as a fellow mom, I know you must be hurting and exhausted. Hang in there – you can do this!
