I’m a TWIN! {Toyota}

Well, not as in I shared the womb with another person.

More like I was selected to participate in the Toyota Women’s Influencer Network.

See that?  Clever, right?  TWIN. These smart people and their acronyms.

What does that mean?

Well, it means that I get to head down to Southern California in a couple of weeks and tour the Toyota Headquarters and drive cars that have that fantasticly delicious new car smell.

And NOT the did-someone-leave-an-orange-in-here-because-something-smells-like-it-died-a-slow-and-painful-death-in-here smell.

Or the is-that-a-chicken-nugget-because-we-havent-had-chicken-nuggets-in-at-least-two-months-and-if-it-is-a-chicken-nugget-that-might-qualify-as-a-display-in-a-museum-or-should-be-donated-to-science game.

And when I get inside the brand new cars, it’s a good bet that the windshield wipers won’t start swinging wildly back and forth even though its not raining, and the hazards won’t be flashing frantically, while I’m apparently simultaneously making a left turn.

Wait.  Is that just me?

PLUS, I get to stay at a fancy hotel ON THE BEACH.  By myself.  Without kids.  And I won’t have to cook.  Or even so much as make my bed.

And you know what?  I get to talk about Toyotas.  Which is super easy for me since we’re a total Toyota family.  Besides a hand me down Buick from Andy’s grandma, we’ve never owned anything but Toyotas.  And I know an inordinate amount of information about them because my husband may or may not be in a cult club exclusive to Toyota owners.  So participating in this promotion is not only natural for me, but pretty exciting.  And I think he’s secretly jealous that he doesn’t get to come with me.

Muahahahahaha!!!!

See that?  Even a bitty baby Lucy is already petting the car.  Her daddy taught her well.  For more baby and truck pics, you can click here…see, I’ve been blogging about Toyotas before I was even asked to!  So when I saw the campaign, I was like “pick me!  pick me!”  :)

I’m hoping they’ll ask for feedback on what I’d like to see changed.  (More trunk space in the Sequoia!!!!  Please don’t make me go to the Yukon XL!!!  I think Andy might experience shortness of breath if there is a GMC in our driveway…and I’m seriously not kidding.  At all.)

I’ve told you about it before, but be sure to vote daily for the non-profit of your choice in the Toyota 100 Cars for Good.  If you follow me on Facebook, you know I’ve been pretty vocal about encouraging you to vote.  Promoting that campaign is not a requirement (nor was it even a request) of this promotion, I just honestly think it’s rad to see a multi-bajillion dollar company use their resources for good.  Makes me happy.

Do you drive a Toyota?  Which one?  Doesn’t three nights on the beach sound heavenly?  Yeah, that’s what I thought too…who am I kidding?

And don’t forget to go vote.  It’s easy.  It’s instant gratification (you see who won the next morning!).  And it’s good.  I mean, why NOT?  Really.

Disclosure: I was selected for participation in the TWIN community through a program with Clever Girls Collective. I did not receive any compensation for writing this post, or payment in exchange for participating. The opinions expressed herein are mine, and do not reflect the views of Toyota.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

We’re a Toyota family too. I kind of happened by accident, but we love our Toyotas. That is going to be one awesome trip. Have fun! And thanks for the FB reminders for the Toyota 100 Cars for Good. I see them and it really does remind me to go vote.

We are not a Toyota family. I was born in the Motor City and have a deep family history connected to Ford. We’re a Ford family :) BUT a weekend away at the beach by myself sounds heavenly. For several years, every time my birthday comes around and my husband asks what I want I say “a hotel room by myself” and he laughs at me. One of these days I’ll convince him it’s really, really what I want. Enjoy your trip! Can’t wait to hear all about it!

We love toyotas. I spied your beautiful red landcruiser in the background of a few of your pictures. Love that your kids like them too. We have had 4 toyotas. 2 mr2’s, a landcruiser, And a rock crawling 4 runner. Good times! I love reading your blog. Just love it

We had a used Toyota Corolla pre-kids, and now we have a used Toyota Sienna van. We’re not exclusively Toyota… but they’ve done us well. We go for cheap!

Only Toyotas here too :D Oh how good to find another completely Toyota person!! They name them different stuff here so may not mean much but I’ve been driving a Camry since I could and hubby has always had a Hilux ute (Aussie for pickup). We are hoping to upgrade my now aging car with a newer Toyota. You have my complete jealousy being a TWIN….Dear Toyota, Run this in Australia….please….PLEASE?!?!? LOL

I’ve had many cars, but Toyota is my favorite. I currently rock a Corolla (don’t judge) and am going to run that thing into the ground before I move out of the mom-mobile and back into something pre-kid and totally not gas mileage friendly. Enjoy your mini-break!!

    Cheers,
