I love me some gummi bears.
Not that a good Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup doesn’t hit the spot sometimes, but more often than not, my guilty pleasure of choice are these gelatonous little gooey blobs. That don’t look a thing like bears, by the way.
I even share with my kids.
They think they only come in green, orange, and yellow.

I really don’t watch TV.
Like, hardly at all, I really would be totally fine throwing the whole dang thing in the trash. For real.
But for the first time in years (ever?), there is one show I am absolutely addicted to.
Love, love, love, love Parenthood.
Except it comes on at 10 p.m…and we’ve already established that I’m a grandma and that’s much too late.
So I watch it the next day during nap.
This week, I ate leftovers from a happy meal a la the Pioneer Woman herself.
If you make it, add bacon.

Julie and I have a little project up our sleeves.
I’m so excited I can hardly stand it.
I have no idea who invented these little seat things for bathrooms but I want to kiss them.
On the mouth.
And make it federal law that they are installed in every public bathroom in the nation.
Imagine having to use the restroom…
But your shopping cart is filled with product…besides, it would be a disaster to try to wrangle it into the stall.
You hiss threats of bodily harm and nothing from the candy aisle to your children to NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. IT’S NASTY AND DISGUSTING AND YOU WILL DIE IF YOU TOUCH ANYTHING OR EVEN THINK ABOUT CRAWLING AROUND ON THIS VILE DISGUSTING NASTY FLOOR. I’M NOT EVEN KIDDING. YOU. WILL. DIE.
But you’ve got one little that can’t stand unassisted…so you’re trying to pull your pants down one handed, while not dropping her with the other…and…well, yeah, it’s not pretty.
So two points for the inventor of the Potty Jump Seat and kudos to Walmart.
Yes, Walmart.
I can’t even believe I just typed that.
This mama of a special needs babe just may be reformed.
Little things. You just never even thought of. Game changers.

She’s either in my master bedroom closet hiding in Andy’s freshly dry cleaned work shirts…giggling, mind you…
or pulling down every book on Henry’s bookshelf until she finds just the right book (and it’s different everyday) and sits quietly “reading”.
Out loud.
The sweetest, littlest babbling nonsense as she flips pages.
Speech Therapy, I want to marry you.

Lucy (who apparently didn’t make it to this week’s InstaFriday) is very specific that the brown haired one is hers and the blonde is “Diwwy’s”.
You can’t ever, ever, ever mix them up.
Great injustices are to be had if it’s not just right.
She gets herself worked up into quite the tither that girl.

I love those seats!! Love them!! And amen to loving speech therapy! The amazing things I hear my daughter say… and I wasn’t guaranteed a single word from her. Thank you speech therapy!

Aw we love us some pepsi max and coke zero! I much prefer pepsi products too! And I never ever watch tv but have had my eye on parenthood. I have heard good things about it and have wanted to catch a show or two but I guess I’m a grandma too bec I’m out by 9!
I was about to leave a comment and then I read the comments above and it just didn’t seem right. Well, that’s because my computer is acting wonky and I ended up in the comments section for the older post about the holiday gift thing. Now that the confusion is over, LOVE gummi bears, too, and I’m 34 yrs old! Cute cupcakes :) This week my instafriday linkup had a happiness theme. Can’t wait to hear more about the happy day project! Coke v Pepsi I have to say Coke wins here :) I love that you buy both in your home. My daughter just started speech 2 weeks ago. Although after all the tests they say she isn’t special needs she doesn’t talk at 31 months. I am really optimistic. Love the cupcakes too! I only make my own frosting these days and then sit with the bowl and spoon after telling my girls there is none left. I am a great mama like that :) This is my first week of joining in but I look forward to many more to come! Thanks for hosting!

I LOVE gummy bears too! The best are the Haribo brand. Have you tried those? :) The trivets are AWESOME! And I too am HOOKED on Parenthood and The SIng Off :) I DVR them both too bc I always fall alseep , my internal clock is off at 10:30! Your coffee table makes me want one, haven’t had one in my funky shaped living room for 7yrs! haha

Okay, I just have to tell you that I too, have fallen in love with Parenthood!! I mean, where was this show the last 2 years that I did not know about it?? What an awesome cast and story line..real life: the messy, the hilarious and the touching. Love it. Love your blog too!

I love these little snippets of your life! For a while I wished I had a smart phone, but my dumb one, that takes awful pictures and then charges me extra to send them will have to do. Maybe I can use my simple point and shoot camera? Thanks for the laugh….. Our rule for the one-handed bathroom trick is …. “you must really have to go if you are willing to figure out how to do it with a child in one arm. So glad my youngest is almost 7!

My mom got me hooked on Parenthood – hubs doesn’t watch it yet, although I have a feeling I will be re-watching all previous seasons when he finally realizes what a great show it is (same thing happened with Grey’s). Also have gummi bear love…only haribo though – I am a gummi bear snob like that.

I loooove parenthood too, it’s such a great show. I was actually watching last weeks episode today on DVR and was wondering if there were other people who watched the show also. Glad to know I’m not the only one!

I’m new here – you make me wish I had an iphone!! Looks like such fun! Alas, I still in the dark ages with an ultra ‘dumb’ phone that has no ability to take photos.
Maybe one day….
But, we can still be friends because I HEART Parenthood! Fo SHO, it’s the ONE show I never miss. I get to watch it at 9pm here in the midwest, but I am super duper thankful for the likes of hulu and such so I can live life other-wise on a tuesday night without secretly wishing I could be home on the couch instead! :)
