Link up your sweet, silly and everyday moments using nothing but cell phone pics!
I have an iPhone and use the Instagram app, but any cell phone pictures are welcome!
Join in! It’s fun!
Last Friday after I picked Mags up from LAX, we met Mique and Lindsey at the garment district in Los Angeles.
Fabric and fabric and more fabric!
That rainbow argyle is calling my name!!!
Must. make. some.thing.
I have no idea what, but I am downright smitten with it.
On Sunday, a few hours before Blog Sugar, I was able to coerce some of the girls into helping put together little swag bags of printables for the people who listened to our session.
Julie made them all.
I just threw my card in the bag acting like I actually contributed.
It’s how I roll.
(A big thank you to Lindsey, Jess, Emily, and Mel who took over a random coffee table in the center of Fashion Island with me!)
Lindsey and I snuck into Anthropologie for a few minutes.
I just can’t get over how they can take the most random and simple items, cluster them together, and it suddenly looks hip and cool and all art like.
Love these lamps.
How cool would these look lined up over a kitchen island/bar?
::swoon::
While we were there, I picked up some fun hooks for the playroom.
The kids need a place to hang their superhero capes and backpacks and such.
Super important stuff.
Except that they were out of the letter L.
So the message has changed a little.
“Get a job kid!”
My voice went about 4 octaves higher when I opened up one of the speakers’ gifts when I squealed with delight at the beauty that is this custom made hoop art.
Undeniably by the talented Andrea, whose attention to detail and workmanship is superb.
Each was unique to its new owner and I will say that Ms. Andrea did a fantastic job in making it very “Jeannett”.
I don’t know who first thought to put a smile on the side of boxes from Amazon.com.
But they are geniuses.
Geniuses.
And should probably be awarded some kind of Nobel Peace Prize for Internet Happiness.
I could have ordered baby wipes and seeing that cheerful grin makes me all excited as if it were something much more fun and non-poopy.
We have Chip Clip Gnomes.
I don’t know if they eat them or hoard them or shred them for nest building purposes, but it never ceases to be the case that I can never find a chip clip when I need one.
And let me tell you, I’ve bought at least 15 of them over the years.
MIA.
Maybe these fancy colored ones I bought in a giant pack at Costco will fare better against the nefarious forces of the CC Gnome gang.
Sneaky little fellows.
Like little ninja gnomes.
My entry for this week’s InstaChallenge: DIY.
An empty frame, some paint and chicken wire.
Hang it on a wall and use it to display your jewelry.
I have another one that hangs horizontally for all of my earrings next to it.
So simple, but so pretty and functional.
Made prettier by the simple fact that there’s plenty of Lisa Leonard and Allora Handmade hanging there.
Now it’s YOUR turn!!!
Toss a bunch of your grainy cell phone pictures into a post, grab a button and link up!
Don’t forget to leave some comment love on at least two other linker uppers (because it’s nice, that’s all)…and if you’re up for it, next week’s InstaChallenge will be: take a picture of something BLUE.
Oh! And while you’re here, it’s the last week of the special needs fundraiser benefitting Free Wheelchair Mission! We are SOOOOOOO CLOSE to our goal…can your $5 help inch us closer????
Love you girl!! So glad we got to hug last Sunday!! I need to come visit soon. Like how I just invited myself to your house. haha
Great pics! For the love, stay OUT of Anthro! So dangerous for the bank account ;)
How close to the Wheelchair project being funded are you?
Next time you go to the garment district, could you please swing by NC and pick me up? Thank you.
I love your hoop art. When you posted the picture of it this week, I knew it had to be done by Andrea. Like you said, her word is undeniably “her”. She does an amazing job.
Oh yes, Andrea’s work is amazing! I’m lucky enough to have my own hoop art from her {yay for swaps!}, and I just love it. It will be hanging somewhere in our new place very soon. :)
I love them all. Looks like such a great week.
Hilarious that 80% of the blogs I checked out today have a starbucks in the picture.
What the?
PS: the picture with the hooks for the kids room spells “PAY”.
I chuckled picturing that on their wall given your last post about debt!
I love the amazon smile. It makes me happy! I have the picture frame craft on my to do list. I almost stopped at Michaels yesterday for supplies, but had groceries in the car ans knew that I would not be quick in a craft store!
My goal for 2012 is to go to Blog Sugar. For Serious.
i heart amazon. that smiley face box always makes me happy.
i need to make myself a place to hang my necklaces and earrings. love!
Haha, every child must have a place to hang their cape!
Honestly, I think I could just live in Anthro. Ahhhh perfection :) Love your pictures!
such a fun week Jeannett. Kind of even more fun that I know the behind the scenes of some of your pictures! thanks for hosting this every week – it’s my favorite – and easiest post to to. :)
with love,
your OG InstaGrammer
A swag bag full of PRINTABLES? Oh me oh my. I’m totally jealous of the lucky ladies who got those. Man.
i made the exact same earring rack for myself a few months ago. i love it! i just need some more earrings to hang on it :)
Insta-Friday is such a fabulous idea. This is my first week! :)
You have CC Gnomes at your house too?!?
Man, they are everywhere.
I gave up and bought a pack of close-pins at the dollar store. They are everywhere in my pantry, but always on hand, at least! (Your costco ones ARE much cuter and much more tempting for those darn Gnomes! lol)
Hi, Jeannett! LOVED your week in photos! I’m really glad I found you through http://www.nickandcarina.blogspot.com! :) Love these Fridays!
Thank you so much for doing InstaFridays!! I love them! and love blogging them:) I am trying to get over the adorableness of the embroidery hoop…what a great gift…maybe something I will have to add to my DIY project list?? Blog Sugar sounds like an amazing time- I would really enjoy hearing you speak someday!!
Looks like you had a great week! All the posts I’ve seen about Blog Sugar make me so jealous to not live closer to such a great event! One of my friends, Meagan of Fairly Fabulous, was there though…lucky girl!
love your pix. i NEED you to DIY me a place to hang my jewelry. okay. thank you.
(i’m diy challanged).
i need to win a 1000.00 so i can buy those anthro lamps. they would be awesome somewhere in my house, anywhere in my house.
thank you for making friday’s fun!
the lights at anthro….LOVE! and your DIY with all the fun jewels so cute!
Brilliant meme!! You know what else would be cool? If instead of people leaving their names on the thumbnails that display in the linky, they actually left their instagram names…that way we find and follow over there too!
Either way, beautiful photos!!
always love your instas!
