Yes, on a Wednesday.
Summer is a busy time for everyone, and honestly, I think it was kinda nice.
Saturdays are family time, and this felt a little like a girl’s night out.
I think I may be suggesting mid-week showers a lot more from now on.
I love throwing showers with Joy.
She has the best house for entertaining and a collection of jadite that would make any self respecting woman drool.
There was no real “theme” for this shower, other than anything we felt was sweet and feminine.
A simple banner strung across the room.
Pale pink and aqua? Yes please.
These eyelet lanterns normally hang in Joy’s daughter’s room.
Add a pink ribbon and they look perfect!
Joy has the best big giant farm table in. the. world.
Milk glass urns I scored at an estate sale for 50 cents + hydrangeas from our gardens + a ruffled table runner = sweetness.
I loooove the print on those napkins.
They’d make a GORGEOUS bedspread for a little girls’ room!
We decided to keep it simple and offer a milk & cookie bar.
The bottles are actually frappucino bottles (we each bought a pack of 12 from Costco).
I thought they were perfect. Joy is a genius.
Joy found these awesome old fashioned glass milk jugs at a tiny local market.
I must go buy some because I need these bottles. Need.
Brownie covered oreos on a galvanized pedestal?
Chocolate chip on a jadite platter?
I told you Joy has awesome kitchen gear.
It took everything in my power to not slip that footed jadite bowl into my purse at the end of the night.
She said she found it on ebay.
Guess what I’ll be doing later today?
I don’t have a single picture of Becky or any of the guests for that matter.
I’m a terrible photographer.
I took all of these right before the party started and never picked up my camera again. Boo.
Another friend of ours did a short devotion, we said a prayer, and Becky opened presents.
And then we all went back to eating some more cookies.
It was a really simple and sweet night.
I’m beyond elated for Becky.
I almost forgot!
