InstaFriday

InstaWhat?  InstaWho?

InstaFRIDAY!!!!!

A simple way to share the little moments from your week…the only rule is that the post has be made up of cell phone pictures only!

I use the Instagram app, but any cell phone pics are welcome!

I was really bad about snapping pics this week, so some of these are older pictures that I’m pretty sure (yet too lazy to go through and double check) I haven’t used yet.

You’d think that if I’m gonna host a linky party on the whole deal, I’d be diligent about having my own pics to share.

Sue me.

I wanted these glasses so bad.

They were that perfect coke bottle green glass.

But there were only four of them.

And I’m a Pepsi gal anyway.

I’m not a fan of Starbucks.

At all.

But for some reason, my iced water seems to taste better in this reusable cup.

It makes no sense.

I’m not even gonna try.

A basket of vintage glass doorknob sets.

Exact matches to the antique reproduction cabinet knobs I just put in in my kitchen.

I think my pantry *needs* a crystal doorknob.

But Andy needs to come back with me to make sure they’ll work on our new doors.

So often my “Hey look babe!  Isn’t this cool?!” projects that I am sure should take 10 minutes end up taking half a day.

I’m kinda surprised he hasn’t left me yet.

I’m such a sucker for glass stuffs.

But this Treasures Store (what I call Antique/Thrift stores) was pricey.

Like, ridiculous, “come on lady, I can buy that at a flea market for $2 and you want$15???!!!”

I even tried haggling.

She hardly budged.

Annoying.

Lucy has the most bizarre style.

Beanies, rainboots, bangle bracelets, beaded necklaces…they all get paired mercilessly with anything, everything, and in any weather.

I am either giddy with excitement to see how that sense of style evolves as she gets older…or completely terrifed.

Time will tell.

Strawberries in the summer?

By the truckload please.

Roses from the garden?

Oh happy day!

Not happy.

Not one bit.

Have you seen these nasty-makes-me-throw-up-in-my-mouth-a-little-bit toe shoes?

They make lime green crocs look suitable for the Red Carpet.

Nelle’s boyfriend came over wearing these.

I seriously told him I was kicking him out of the house if he didn’t take them off immediately.

My eyes were burning.

Not okay.

Okay, now it’s your turn!

Grab a button and link up!

And don’t forget to visit at least two other link ups and leave some comment love!  Why?  Because it’s nice.  And we like nice around These Parts.  :)

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Oh, I LOVE all of the goodies from the thrift stores. No fun though when they’re so pricey! Strawberries & pretty flowers in the summer, doesn’t get much better.
Those shoes!! GAH! My brother in law has some. Yuck, too weird and soo not cute!

OMG. I feel the same way about those shoes!! *GAG*!! but I don’t think i would ever say anything to the people who wear them!! Hahaha.

i haaaaaate those shoes!!! they look like crazy mutant feet. (and now i sound like i totally discriminate against mutants — i recently watched the new x-men movie. it’s on the brain. ;) )
    but, i loooove lucy’s style!

You’re very right about water tasting better in a reused cup. My Olivia is starting to show her fashion sense and it always involves a dress, a tutu and some kind of hat or ribbon for her hair. It’s too cute. I don’t blame you. Those shoes (if you can call them that) are creepy.

    Love your photos!! :)

Love Lucy’s style :) The toe shoes are so strange. I tried a pair on at REI just to see what the fuss was all about and I still didn’t get it, but people who wear them love them. To each his own, right? My pics this week are from the last couple of weeks, too. I was always intimidated to host a link up because of the pressure to keep up with it. And, love all of the photos of the glass. Makes me think of my great-grandma’s house. Happy Friday!

I love water out of my Starbucks cup too. A word of warning, don’t under any circumstances hand it to your child in the car when they are begging for water. My daughter turned the perfect straw into a square. :( Now I need to find a replacement straw since the square one is throwing off the whole thing.

After your post about Heaven is for real and another friend posting about it fb the same day I grabbed the last copy from the library. It was so beautiful and I am a believer too. I am begging my husband to read it since he hasn’t drank the Koolaide. Beautiful book.

Okay, my fiance’s brother-in-law has shoes like those…he swears they’re amazing, but we all just think they’re weird. And I could never wear shoes like that. ;)

I love the door nobs! So pretty! I, unlike you, love Starbucks, but like you, totally love the reusable cups as well! I make my own ice coffee at home & use a reusable cup like that! Makes me feel all professional Ha!

Love all of the pretty, pretty glassware–esp. the doorknobs.

I know the Vibrams are UGLY (and they ain’t got no alibi) but they’re supposed to be really good for your feet. Not quite sure that’s an acceptable trade-off though.

  16. 16

the glass bottles are fabulous, & the strawberries look yummy.

  17. 17

Those all look like awesome finds, but I HATE when people won’t deal. ;p The toe shoes? I’m so not a fan of the way they look, but I have friends that just love them.

  18. 18

Love your pics this week. I have been eyeing on of those Starbuck’s reusable cups. I just need to buy it and stop whining. :)

  19. 19

    Oh-my! I love those vintage glass doorknobs….so lovely! :-)

starbucks is Eh. Coffee Bean = LOVE.
Wish they had one closer to me.
Those shoes are creepy. I saw a family at Disney & all 5 people & kids were wearing them. AHHH!!!

  21. 21

I sometimes shop by taking pictures instead of actually buying anything. I think it’s more fun. Plus…I seriously can’t bring anything else into this house. We are FULL! Love your linky party. I joined today and look forward to it in the future.

  22. 22

So happy to have found someone who is as in love with Instagram as I am. And I am right there with you about drinks tasting better from that Starbucks reusable cup. I use mine most of the day, every day. New follower! :)

  23. 23

I love her outfit. Too cute!!

  24. 24

The toe shoes totally freak me out, too! The first time I saw them, I looked up (he was over 6 feet, and I’m 5 feet) and said, “Why do you have toes on your feet?” Brilliant, I know, but I was very weirded out by them. It didn’t help when our young adult pastor preached in them one night! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who finds them ridiculous.

  25. 25

Those shoes would be the perfect addition to a gorilla costume.
    {right?? or is it just me??}

    Love those doorknobs!

  26. 26

Haha! The shoes are terrible! I have a pair of booty’s like that which I use for swimming in rockpools or waterholes… I hate not knowing what’s on the bottom!
Have linked up for the first time! Loving instagram and my iPhone at the moment! Please stop by! :)

  27. 27

I have a glass obsession too :) I love the photos and I think every door in my house NEEDS a crystal doorknob! It’s hard to get the hubby on board with that though ;)

  28. 28

Those really are hideous shoes! Love your photos :-).
