New here?
Insta-Friday is a fun way to share the little details of your week by using only cell phone pics!
I have an iPhone and use the (free) Instagram app, but any cell phone pics will work!
Link up! It’s fun!
Besides, it’s an ultra easy post idea! ;)
On Sunday I left the kids with the husband.
Ran through Starbucks for a Mocha thingamabob.
In medium.
Or tall.
Or vente.
The middle one people!!!
And then I went to Target.
It. Was. Awesome.
Remember how Jess told me I had curly hair?
Well, it turns out she was right.
So I borrowed this book from Tracy.
Every curly haired girl I know swears by it.
I haven’t straightened my hair once since Blissdom.
That was in January.
Awesome.
The book goes on and on about a lot of stuff, but the main take away is that curly haired girls should be using special shampoo.
Here’s the Cliff’s Notes version:
Sulfates = Bad
Botanicals = Good
The authors created a shampoo that did just that.
Except it’s expensive.
Like $28 a bottle.
Ack.
A quick google search told me that this stuff from Trader Joe’s is the next best thing.
$2.99 a bottle.
Awesome.
Remember that garage cleaning at Grandma’s house where I scored that little stool and the cute rocking chair?
There was also an entire collection of owls.
While I didn’t necessarily want a entire flock of them, I couldn’t resist this little cutie.
Perfect for my springtime mantel.
Lucy is at it again.
Her shenanigans have yet to end.
Because now we hear giggling and shrieking from both girls after naps.
To find this.
Lu has climbed into her sister’s crib.
That girl is giving me gray hair.
Curly gray hair.
And she makes me want to drink a lot of this.
My favesies wine ever.
A local winery.
With the cutest grounds you ever did see.
And lastly, I would just like to say that if you hate my guts, you’ll buy me something like this.
I’ve told you before how much I hate playing games.
But this?!
This, my friends, makes me break out hives just thinking about it.
A puzzle????!!!
A ONE THOUSAND piece puzzle????!!!
A 1,000 piece puzzle that claims to have the ittiest bittiest teeniest tiniest pieces known to the entire planet EARTH???!!!
I’d rather lick a toilet.
For real.
And with that, it’s your turn to link up!
I’m new – thanks for the blog hop idea – fun and easy! And thanks for the tip about the TJ shampoo/conditioner. I read that book too and have been using her shampoo (found it much cheaper on amazon….but it’s still expensive) and enjoying seeing my wavy hair get more wavy and manageable. Now I have a good excuse for a Trader Joe’s trip!

I recently found a great product for curly hair. I have super curly hair (the kind you can’t deny since the day you were born) The name is Ion. Its the one for curly hair in the green writing. It’s not super expensive, only about $5 a bottle and there is a coordinating gel. It is awesome. I noticed a huge difference after a week or so. My hair was ridiculously frizzy before. Now, I’ve been wearing my hair down! In the summer! With lots of humidity! I got it at Sally’s Beauty Supply. I’d love to know how the trader joe experiment turns out. For some reason I find something great and after a while it stops working, so I’d love to know I have something good to try next!
A solo Target spree fueled by Starbucks (any size) sounds divine. Though I think time pretty much speeds up when you’re by yourself.
I wish we had Trader Joe’s here in Texas. I feel incomplete.
Owls are cute, especially ones with sentimental value. I have an owl James Avery charm from my childhood (the glorious 70s) that I recently found and was so happy to start wearing it again on a necklace.
I do like puzzles but a 1000 mini piece one would make me cry. And then scream and throw things.
