Sorta Wordless Wednesday…on a Thursday

How’s THAT for a post title?!

You see, I had grand plans for posting pictures of Henry’s room.

I took about 30 pictures…different angles, close up, details…

and when I opened up the files on my computer this morning they were all blurry.

Boo.

So, I grabbed random pics of my kids for your bloggy enjoyment today.

I’m sure you’re thrilled.

Or not.

Grandmas are jazzed.

And sometimes that’s what this blogging thing is all about, right?

The Jilly scrunchy nose face is still in regular rotation in these here parts.

But so are sweet smiles.

And this, dear readers is Lucy.  While Jill sits quietly “reading” books, Lucy is diving headfirst onto Henry’s bed.

Sunday morning church.  Jilly.  All sweet and blonde and such.

Annnnnnnd…Lucy.

Have I mentioned they’re TWINS?  Right.

Note the busted up nose and the greening bruise on her forehead.  Evidence of her brilliant idea to stand up in the wagon…and subsequently FACEPLANT onto the concrete driveway.

Tears.  Blood.

And then back in the wagon for more standing.

Don’t let the pink dress, tiny piggies, and bejewled necklaces fool you.  This chick is tough.

And crazy.

We are toast.

This face.  I’m a puddle.  A complete mushpot of melted butta on a hot summer day.

“Hey kids, sit here so mama can take your picture before church!”

“Henry!  Leave your sister alone!  She’ll look at the camera herself!  You don’t need to force her head!”

“Jill!  Look at mama!  Quit trying to steal your sister’s Mardi Gras beads!”

::cue clapping, whistling, and assorted ridiculousness by not one, but two, mature adults::

FAIL.

Great, now we’re late.  Dumb.

Have I mentioned how much I love my ginormous chalkboard?

And then there’s Lucy again.

Done.

We are just done.

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.
