Kitchen Bits & Pieces

Don’t you love how what starts as one small change in a room, ends up causing a domino effect and before you know it, you’ve completely rearranged just about everything in it???!!!

Well, that’s what happened with my kitchen recently.

It all started here…while I *love* our family rules canvas, I always felt like it “swam” around on this big wall.  It drove me crazy.  But I didn’t know what else to put there.

Until I saw Sandy’s photo wall…and she completely changed my opinion of having framed photographs in the kitchen.

Not to mention that my business card was drawn at the (in)courage suite at Blissdom…and I was given the opportunity to choose any of the DaySpringproducts they had on display…

The May Your Cup Overflow Framed Canvas Print was my obvious choice.

It’s big, it’s beautiful, it matches my kitchen PERFECTLY (aqua and red, hello!)…

…but I *love* how those four simple words tell the tale of all the framed photos surrounding it.

Our life in images…simple, colorful, and full of love.

Overflowing.

Now, I had to move my Family Rules…

And then I had this super fun wooden shelf that needed to go up somewhere…

And I’ve always wanted to display my aprons and not have them live in the dark drawer…

…but this is where my little chalkboard used to live…

and I do really love having a chalkboard in my kitchen for notes and such…

Which reminded me of Julie’s gigantic chalkboard…and because I have no original thought, I copied it completely:

This thing is HUGE.

Like 5′ tall by 3.5′ wide.

I love it’s big-ness.

It makes me happy.

And the kids like it too.  :)

{this is NOT a sponsored post.  i won the canvas fair and square and was not required to blog about it in exchange.  i just love it and wanted to share it with you.  and dayspring is having a sale right now where you can get $20 Off Orders of $100 or more from DaySpring- Use Coupon Code: 20off100 through 06/09/2011 those links, however, are affiliate links…so if you DO order from them, i get a small cut.  so shop away folks!}

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Where did you get that family rules canvas? I, too, have no original thought and really want to steal it. Even though I have no more wall space to cover. I really need it. Or I might die. And my kids will be left with no rules to follow. Thanks.

Those are the most fun aprons I have ever seen. Makes me want to bake just looking at them. I love the idea of hanging them up instead of being in a drawer.
