Thanksgiving seems so long ago.
Christmas has been packed away to make room for a new year.
The prospect of decorating my mantle in pink and red hearts is looming near.
Blissdom is just TWO WEEKS away.
And Cliffy’s fundraiser has now officially ended.
(You can give to his adoption fund year round directly through Reece’s Rainbow).
And the final count we raised…
makes me tear up.
I am so thankful for each and every one of you.
Who prayed.
Who gave.
Who blogged.
Who Facebooked.
Who Tweeted.
Who helped in your own special way.
A Thank You typed out on my screen is not adequate.
But know that if I could, I would reach right through this computer and give you a giant, teary hug.
How much did we raise, you ask?
I’ll let Cliff tell you:
Yes, folks, that would be $9,458.52!!!!!
Are you grinning from ear to ear?!
Because I sure am. :)
God showed up in a big and powerful way didn’t He?
Because none of this was me.
Or really you.
It was God…using the hearts He gave us, the money He has entrusted us with, the voices and computers He blessed us with…
to fight for the least of these…in a very 21st century way.
I want to share with you some of the 2010 Angel Tree Results from the Reece’s Rainbow site:
- Over $305,000 in grant donations were raised (nearly QUADRUPLE what was raised in 2009)
- A New Year Miracle Gift of $50,000 made it possible for every child to meet their $1,000 Angel Tree goal for the FIRST TIME in their history.
- THIRTY children found their forever families between November 1 and December 31. (EEK!!!)
Cliff needs a home.
Has Grant Fund Will Travel.
Please continue praying that his family will find him soon.
I will be checking the RR site for updates regularly…hoping to see when Cliff goes home.

And for now, I’m gonna take a small fundraising break.
I’m a tired girl.
I’ll still blog…but the guest blogger/giveaway/fundraiser model is gonna take a short sabbatical.
I want to go to Blissdom, maybe tweak some things, and give everyone a break.
