Have the planets ever just aligned so perfectly you could squeal with delight?
I was actually thinking the other day:
1) I need to learn how to take better pictures.
2) I’d really like to learn how to actually USE the expensive camera I bought myself.
3) I should probably learn how to use Photoshop.
(Which, yes, I also own but have but elementary skills at).
And so I was thinking about all the things I really wanted to learn in the world of photography, and how maybe I should blog about it.
And then I got Lisa Leonard’s latest necklace in the mail.
And I’ve worn it every day since.
Because it is so stinking cute.
Perfect in every way.
And a reminder that my camera, is, in fact…
the lens of my life.
What I see.
The little everyday moments.
The things I will forget.
Surely.
Unless, of course, I capture them.
And then, as if the camera gods were smiling down on me, I got in touch with Faith.
Faith, who blogs over at Simplicity: my life in {mostly} photographs.
Faith, who also hosts various photography e-classes.
Her last class was all about how to use your DSLR. Missed it. Dang.
BUT, her next class…beginning October 4th is called Basics of Photography.
Here is her description:
My photography classes are geared towards busy women, most of us are moms, so there isn’t a lot of pressure or a ton of homework or reading. The ladies who took my last class enjoyed it and were challenged by it.

The instruction is done via emailed tutorials. Each week there will be three assignments, two technical and one creative. Assignments are posted in my Flickr Group where I will comment on each image you post – mostly constructive criticism and a lot of encouragement
