De-Lurk Here

Why hellllllooooo there!

So, here’s the deal:

I know there’s a lot of you out there.

Don’t think I don’t have Google Analytics installed.

You think you’re sneaky, eh?

Reading my blog, sneaking out the backdoor to meet your other blog boyfriend?

Yeah, well, this mama ain’t dumb.

She hears that screendoor slam shut behind the three inch stillettos you can hardly walk in…

Actually, I totally understand.

I stalk blogs too.

The reality is that I often don’t have time to comment, or I feel like I don’t have anything to say (shocking), or I don’t have both hands free to actually type!

BUT, if you are a blogger, you know what I mean when I say that COMMENTS MATTER.

Honestly, they. make. my. day.

So, take this as a virtual guest book. Complete with a goofy feathered pen. And two little girls standing there supervising.

Take a sec, comment here, say hello, introduce yourself.

It’d make my day.

For reals.

Then you won’t feel so guilty when you think you’re being all stealth.

‘Cuz you’re totally not.

Just so you know.

(credit for de-lurk idea goes to gypsy mama!)

I'm a mom to four. A wife to one. I believe in story. I love telling you about mine and would love to hear yours. There's really no sense in wasting our suffering and not sharing in each other's joy. We're all in this together...even if it doesn't always feel like it.

Hi! I am Lauren, I subscribe to your blog and absolutely love reading about your family and things in your life, you have a gift for writing. My brother is a special needs individual, and I have several cousins that are special needs, as well as a neice. I can relate to so much of what you write and really admire not only your tenacity, but your strength in how you handle things. Also really admire you for having the grace to post about it.

I recently started a blog too (just this month actually) and hoppe to emulate the naturalness and “real life” thing that you have going here. I am also now participating in your Instagram Fridays.

Thank you for giving me something to look forward to reading. Blessings!

    Hi Jeannette,

I just found your blog from the link on forever folding laundry, and was glad I clicked the link…I’m a mom to a dd8 and then twin dds born 22 months later, and I totally get what you mean about not being a twin mom or laid back! Two of my girls are on the autism spectrum. Anyways, I havent read too much yet, but I liked reading your intro, and I thought I would say hi. Your kids are adorable!

I’m a long-time reader. Long-time, as in, before Henry was born. I was googling stuff on pregnancy, because I had just found out I was pregnant with my first child. And so I found you, Jeannett, and you amused me. And I’ve been reading your blog ever since. And it only took me 5 years to de-lurk.

Hi. Now that I’ve started blogging I realized how fun it is to get comments and to know who’s reading. So I thought it’s time for me to de-lurk. I have been following for a few months now I guess and I look forward to every new post. I don’t know how many international readers you have, but if you have a strange hit from Sweden coming pretty regularly in your analytics, that’s me :) You have a great voice! Keep it up!

I have one too, although I hardly can say that I “blog”- I am terrible at keeping it up! I am glad I found yours! and I just love your “de-lurk” section, such a good idea. Makes me feel much less creepy as Im about to go stalk your posts here for a while! :)

Hey. I just found your blog through the instaFriday link up. That’s what drew me in, because I am completely in love with instagramming and I thought “wow, that’s a cool idea.” But then I saw the reason behind your blog and I I know I will lurk here, so I thought I’d introduce myself. I’ve had my life rearranged {my marriage almost lost after 17 years} {intensive counselling to save our marriage} {ministry wounds} {depression} {working outside the home when I really only want to be at home with my kiddos}. I’m embracing the new rearrangement, though. It’s all good.

Hi I’m Lauren and I’m not one for stalking, but I am one for having 37 browser windows open at a time and not knowing where to start to organize it all, so I have to subsribe! There’s just too much goodness out, and ‘m not quite sure how I stumbled upon your site, but I’m glad I did.

I’m not a new blogger, but I am a new “public” blogger. I used to write all the time just for me, to get it out of my heart and my head. I’ve written about my raw emotions, my travels, and my triumphs. Over the years, I’ve found some blogs here and there that have brought me comfort and peace…stories from women who I can relate to who inspire me and help me keep my head up. I see my whole life in pictures and in stories…I want to share those with the rest of the world. So here I am, seprating the degrees of separation between me and the friends I’ve yet to meet. I look forward to following you and your Life Rearranged.

Thanks for the invite – Lo

Hi there! My name is Stephanie. I just love your blog. :-) I discovered it through “The Pleated Poppy”. I’ve been married to my amazing Huz, Oscar, for almost 5 years. We have 2 awesome kiddos, Zane who is almost 2 yrs & Alice who is almost 3 mos. We live in a small town in Nebraska, so I love blogs & feeling like I can connect with other Stay-at-home mamas around the country, makes my “community” a little larger than it physically is. :-)

Howdy! My name is Amanda & I really enjoy reading about the fun, quirky, everyday craziness of your family & the funny/meaningful way you capture those moments. I’m married with a 16 month old son & another due in 2 months. My family & I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where we work with the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). My works focuses on women’s rights, domestic & sexual violence & other social justice issues. Sometimes when life here is hot, overwhelming & the stories are heartbreaking, I like to day dream about life back in North America & picture my friends & family living ordered, calm lives that look a lot like pinterest boards. Your blog is a great reminder that life everywhere is messy & that gratitude & joy are hard won results of perseverance & faith amidst the storms.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hi I don’t have a blog as of yet.. I love reading them thought.. They are encouraging and up lifting for me at least. I am a crafter to put it simply because I sew, bead, metal smith, have a cricut expression and on and on lol. I love your blog the quote.. “God is good no matter what” lifted me like no other. You see I am a single mom my youngest is 18 and just graduated from H.S. Yippeee.. I have been job searching for over a year now to no avail. I let my job go a few years ago to take care of my mom who recently passed which left me with no income. Not meaning to sound harsh but thats the truth.. I have been without electricity since Jan. of this year, because the bill is so high they turned it off. I share electricity with my neighbor, God love her and pay the difference of the cost. It sucks in a word not going to sugar coat it especially in 100 plus degrees like today. BUT God is good and he will provide I know he not only will but CAN. So yes your blog makes me feel like I have no problems at all and I laugh so hard at your sarcasm and wit. I know we would be great friends.. Keep writing and inspiring.
    Love, Gweny

Alrighty – You win. I will De-Lurk myself. I’ve been coming back and reading for a couple months now, and always chuckle when I see the option to leave the world of the other lurkers and make my presence known! So.. here goes!

I’m Amart (Like Kmart, but with an A) – I’m the founder of a blog of Mommies in South Florida who document all kinds of stuff that happens to us. Each of us have our own obsessions, crazy antics & soap boxes we like to stand on over at CollectingKairos.com. I really enjoy reading your stories and you truly are a fabulous writer.

hello, sorry for the lack of caps, holding and nursing a little one. i just had to reach out to you and tell you how much your blog means to me. i also have 4 kids and my youngest drew suffered oxygen deprivation in utero at 30 weeks gestation. he has not been labeled with cp yet but time will tell. he is 9 months old. he also has microcephaly and hypertonia. he has high outer tone and low inner tone. he is small for his age, long but very thin, just shy of 15 lbs. no seizures, his eeg was normal. your blog posts about precious jill have brought me to tears, given me joy and made me smile. drew is close to stting unassisted but sill working on maintaining his neck and core strength for sustained periods of time. he wears benik hand splints to encorage an open hand. he is still working on purposeful controlled use of his hands and arms for holding, picking up toys etc. he has p/t and o/t bi weekly. he is making progress. he makes me a better mommy and a better person. he is such a joy, his smile lights up his whole face. it is hard seeing things being so hard for him and seeing how far behind he is but he is such a blessing and i have faith and trust in the lord. his timing is perfect and drew will follow god’s timeline not mine. i would love to hear how jill is doing and will continue reading your blog, i can identify so much with you.

Anyway, I’ve been a long-time blog reader, and just jumped into my own blogging this last April. I think it’s the best way to scrap-book your family’s memories without having to buy all that fancy stuff! And it’s here when I want to write or when I have time…. or the inspiration strikes.

As a fellow heart mom I am delurking too! My sweet boy was one of the ones with a severe defect and I still felt {out of the loop} as instead of the more normal Hypoplastic left he had hyproplastic right and a ventricular arrhythmia that led him to needing a heart transplant. Any heart problem really is a serious one. I am glad your little man is doing well and I’m sorry your little one is in the hospital now. I know how hard it is to have your children in 2 different places at once. I have been following along and really look forward to continuing your journey with your family.

Hi – I read your guest post on Simple Mom today. My son was born with aortic valve stenosis. His was so severe that he had to have surgery when he was three days old. They were able to go in through his leg so you would never even know he had surgery. He is now healthy (though still monitored every few months) and happy and about to celebrate his first birthday! I know what you mean about feeling alone because your child has/had a “simple” heart defect. It helped me to read your story and know someone else felt the same way I did. You and your family are in my prayers. Thanks for writing such a wonderful blog! ~ Tracy
