Why hellllllooooo there!
So, here’s the deal:
I know there’s a lot of you out there.
Don’t think I don’t have Google Analytics installed.
You think you’re sneaky, eh?
Reading my blog, sneaking out the backdoor to meet your other blog boyfriend?
Yeah, well, this mama ain’t dumb.
She hears that screendoor slam shut behind the three inch stillettos you can hardly walk in…
Actually, I totally understand.
I stalk blogs too.
The reality is that I often don’t have time to comment, or I feel like I don’t have anything to say (shocking), or I don’t have both hands free to actually type!
BUT, if you are a blogger, you know what I mean when I say that COMMENTS MATTER.
Honestly, they. make. my. day.
So, take this as a virtual guest book. Complete with a goofy feathered pen. And two little girls standing there supervising.
Take a sec, comment here, say hello, introduce yourself.
It’d make my day.
For reals.
Then you won’t feel so guilty when you think you’re being all stealth.
‘Cuz you’re totally not.
Just so you know.
(credit for de-lurk idea goes to gypsy mama!)
Too funny, I’m a huge lurker but in a good way!
Hi, I’m Stephanie and I am a lurker. (Welcome Stephanie!)
First day to your blog. I like it. The end :)

So glad I found your blog today! It’s amazing that your kids are almost the same age difference as ours! We had three kids in 21 months only because of my girls coming 11 weeks early…otherwise they would be exactly 24 months apart.

What a great idea! Happy to meet you, I’m Anna. Just read your story and I think your family is gorgeous. I found you through a RT on twitter, and I think your blog looks great. I’m a lurker in general, guilty as charged! Trying to work on that though, really am… always feel like I need to bring something profoundly awesome to the table with comments, and really? That never happens. ;)

well, here I am- de-lurking. :) I just read your whole “how I met my hubs, got engaged, married young” story and love it. I got married a year ago, two weeks after i turned 22 and still had a year of school left. my hubs was finishing his masters degree. the past year has been caaa-razy, but wonderful. we encountered so many of the same things yall did, but it was time for us and that worked. now we’re living in Africa (did I mention our first year was crazy?). love your blog and love the “de-lurking” idea!
I JUST (like 10 minutes ago) found your blog because I was trying to get to Enjoying The Small Things via the Swagbucks search engine so I could hopefully get some more points to put toward Amazon gift cards. Hello free Christmas shopping money. Anyway, I found you. And I’m pretty much sucked in already. I added you to my blog list so I can keep on stalking when it’s not 930pm because I’m old (at 24) and need sleep. I’ll be back to read more the next time I get peace from the kids. Also, avoid my blog (girlmeetscamera.blogspot.com) until next month. November is Prematurity Awareness Month and my blog is oozing purple in support of it :)
Found your blog via Kelle Hampton’s blog & her guest post. I have found blogs by other moms of special needs kids have been a huge blessing to me in the last three years. My son has a chromosomal abnormality and is severely developmentally delayed. Life can be pretty overwhelming and its nice to have places to go and not feel so alone in this journey. Thanks for sharing about yours!
I found your blog via Kelle Hampton’s and thought I’d
“de-lurk.” I am the wife of an amazing man, a mother of a 6 year old boy, 8 year old girl, and our family is in the process of adopting a 3 year old girl with Down Syndrome from Eastern Europe. This past summer, we learned about Reece’s Rainbow, felt the nudge, and are following the call to change the world for one little girl. Looking forward to “lurking” and added you to our blog roll. Keep Smiling!
Embracing My Journey, Shelly
Hello! I found your website through Kelle Hampton’s website and I just read your story which was very touching. I have a 1 year old little boy who is the light of our lives. My son was born a very 7lb.’s 14 oz.’s, but soon after he was born had trouble gaining weight and couldn’t keep food down due to acid reflux. This is such a common thing for babies, and I know my story is so minor in comparison to major surgeries and life threatening conditions that many parents struggle with, but I tell ya, there wasn’t a day that went by those first 6 months that I didn’t cry and just pray that my son would just grow, gain weight and basically just thrive. I really wish that I had known about some of these amazing blogs during that time so that I could have a little perspective! Thanks for sharing your story and thanks for making me “de-lurk”! :)
I’m de-lurking! Well, I guess I’ve never lurked, just found you from Kelle Hampton’s blog.
I have 3 children – a preteen suffering from hormonal angst, Gabe, my second son, Christian, and my baby girl Lola.
My second son suffered a near drowning in July of 2009 at 11 months old. He barely survived and with a severe brain injury. That little fighter has worked so hard to get where he is today and our family has learned to rise from the ashes and get back to our new normal. We love him to pieces and that’s what I blog about!
I left a comment on Kelle’s post about how I used to work in adoption and so I commend you for choosing to adopt a special needs child. It speaks of your character and he will be lucky to have you as his Mama. You will be lucky to have him as your baby.
God bless you and your family!

Okay you got me… I like many others came across your blog via Kelle Hampton. You have such an amazing story and a beautiful family. I am a mamma of an adopted 2 1/2 year old little girl. Love the de-lurk Idea…to cute! I haven’t really read too much but look forward to digging in.
Hello! Oh, you’ve touched me. It’s a dreary day here in Pennsylvania, my darling three-month-old son with Down Syndrome downstairs with his grandmother and me having one of those weak Mommy moments… and then I find this, and now the sun is shining in my heart. Ahhh.
Thank you. Looking forward to journeying with you.
Hi! Just found your blog and have enjoyed reading your “story”. My five year old daughter has cerebral palsy (a very mild form affecting only her right side). The doctors told me she actually had a stroke when I was pregnant with her. Like you I also spend a lot of time seeing different therapists and doctors here in Southern California. Along with her two brothers, Camden is the “light” in our lives. She is in Kindergarten now and doing great! Good luck to you and her family. I look forward to reading through your blog.
very funny =) i love me a good blog with emotions that run deep…glad i stummbled upon yours tonight! i think you were actually a link through my favorite emotion filled blog, kelle hampton. oh and btw, i love what you are doing for that little boy a m a z i n g!!
I am visiting through Enjoying the Small Things- Kelle posted that she was guest blogging here. I just read your “about me” and I have to say what a strong woman you are. I have a 22 month old and 9 month old twins (For the record I also cried & cussed upon finding out.) and they were all full term and are all very healthy. And sometimes, I think to myself “No one gets how hard 3 under 2 is.” but you have just made me eat those words- because you are dealing with so many things I couldn’t dream of- with grace I don’t have even on my best day. You’ve got a new reader! Your children are beautiful, BTW.
Just saying hi. I also had a 21 month old when my ID twin girls were born. Then one of my twins had a choking accident at 11 months old, and now has a severe brain injury (aka severe CP). It sure is interesting, this path I’m on – and there are more twin parents than I ever dreamed of where one is “not quite typical!” Always happy to find one.

i was going to get all angry at you for guilt-tripping me into commenting, but then you said that thing about comments making your day. which is totally true. so, no hard feelings here. just stopping by, found your blog a few days ago (already, i can’t remember how it was that i found you…) and have really been enjoying going through the archives. love your proposal story!
I found your site through Kelle Hampton’s blog. I’ve been reading some past guests blogs and other things. I have to say I like what I’ve been reading. I’m not a real blog follower, in fact Kelle’s is the only blog I follow. But I think I may just have to stay around and become a follower here. Keep up the great work! ;o)
Hey there!! I’m new here… and loving what I see. As soon as I’m done here, I’m going to go subscribe through google reader, and then I’m going to take a few minutes that I don’t have and read a few posts!! Haha. Thanks for helping me take a break from everything else I should be doing ;) Hope to get to know you more soon!

Hi. I know what you wore today. Stalked you.
Hi,
May have to steale this idea. I have to admit I was going to feel a bit guilty for not commenting and just leaving. I guess kind of like enjoying the benefits of fresh baked bread with out doing any of the work (little red hen) ;). Loving your heart for fundraising. Blessings to you and your family. Merry Christmas!
Just wanted you to know that I dropped by. I’ve only read a bit of your blog, but I plan on adding it to my Google Reader and spend some additional time looking around.

Hi! Okay…I’m here to de-lurk myself :o)
I found you through Kelle Hampton’s blog during your fundraiser (I even posted it on my Facebook page to get some more support!). I don’t comment often because I have a CRAZY one year old that likes to add to my comments when I type. They usually look something like this “laknaoicvvhankena’lake02i123” Nice right?
Anyway, glad to “meet” you!
Laura
Your blog is hilarious… in the intentional kind of way. Thanks for giving back and for the Silhouette giveway!
Thanks for your blog! I found you through the cliff fundraiser posted on Joy’s Hope. I am another mom Who’s life definetly didn’t go as planned…but have come to realize that my life is all the better for it. Thanks for your inspiration
I enjoyed your website and your blog. I came across it while pondering one of life’s questions….actually, a fairly mundane one at that, but seriously and because I’m very inquisitive, I wondered in which state do you live? I am in Illinois….visualize freezing temperatures and layers and layers of clothing. Well, I am going to hop on over to Etsy.com to have a look at that burlap pillow with the bee on it. Enjoyed your blog very much. Nancy Walter
love your blog by the way!
